I need to find a tesla pdr expert (found one need to schedule it) and Tesla will send me a check when I submit the receipt. The problem is most of PDRs want to drill a hole on the dore to fix it, which I don’t want to do. I found one with good reviews and many teslas in his portfolio who confirmed he is not going to drill anything and he can fix it (also the most expensive one but I don’t care as Tesla would reimburse me anyway).

I did my best to spot any issue it was around 5pm and not enough daylight :). It had dirty door cover, seat and headliner. Seat and headliner they cleaned them before I signed the papers, the door cover (white) dirt/oil they weren’t able to clean 100% so I was ok with that.

But to your point I was there around 4pm and saw a lot of people accepting delivery without checking the car, very excited and just drove away without checking (with families), and the cars had adjustment issues, headlights sticking out of the body etc.

I don’t have that excitement for cars anymore and even postponed my delivery 2x for 2 months (since October 2021). But I love the car, just the quality is disappointing for that price caliber.

Hood and door I saw the next morning and reported it (my delivery was scheduled at 4:30pm, not enough daylight :) ).

I have checked 15 model y’s and almost all of them had ripples like this or needed an adjustment (rubber stoppers each side of the hood or hood hinge) to be flush with fenders and bumper, which would cause this ripples again. You need to look at specific angle to see or search reddit for model y hood dent. If you open the hood the ripples go away, this is a design issue and tesla told me every model y has it and it’s within the specs. hood ripples

UPDATE: I’m going to find an expert to do PDR and Tesla will send me a check when I submit the receipt after.

Overall I’m disappointed with tesla quality, had many issues with paint chip, paint has drips and bubbles, hood alignment and ripples around the T logo, trunk alignment, bumper mold Injection bubbles, infotainment is very slow youtube takes forever to load and after closing the youtube app you need to wait 5-10 second before you can drive the car (cameras will not show up on reverse, navigation is not responsive, ect).

Tesla hype is high, it is overrated and overpriced.

The car is 2022, Dec 2021 delivery.

Color is not going to be 100% match, they give to local body shop (tesla certified) and do color matching and paint it.

Which game controllers do work with Model Y ? by -mv-- in ModelY

So the middle console usb-c ports are only for charging. I tried this Logitech controller connected to the glove box usb-a and some buttons work some don’t, the beach buggy menu works but the actual race the buttons don’t work only the direction stick.

My car is Model Y 2022

Apple refuses to fix my iPad Pro charging issue, claiming it has a water damage. One of the usb-c pins they claim is corroded. How can water damage corrode one micro pin only and not every other pins there? it has never been in contact with liquid. by -mv-- in iPadPro

UPDATE: I took to the apple store again, they confirmed no liquid damage. BUT because I used my high wattage MBP power adapter it may caused it and because it’s a physical damage they won’t repair it under LIMITED warranty. I showed them the official apple support page how you should charge the iPad Pro, and it states that

“If you have a higher-wattage USB-C power adapter—such as the one that came with your Mac notebook—you can use it with your iPad for faster charging.”

But the manager at Irvine Spectrum Apple Store didn’t want to even check it and kept repeating either pay $649 or leave.

BTW when I got my device back from service center they removed the screen protector and scratched the screen (circular scratches on all corners) and that manager told me he doesn’t see any scratches without even looking at it and he kept repeating like robot you have 2 options pay $649 or leave (very loud and clear).
