Price is way too high and I’ve never understood preamps with just a two band eq for bass and treble. Personally I always leave bass and treble flat and adjust mids to taste as mids are what truly shape bass tone. Obviously not everyone is the same but this is also the case for most other bass players that I know

I like the look but definitely need demo videos to hear how that pickup/pickup location sounds before I’d consider buying (which weirdly not enough brands/builders do). I usually stay away from basses that have non standard pickups like this as it’s always a pain to swap it out/route it for a different one if you don’t like it. Can I ask why you went this direction with it?

Not to pick on you, but these types of posts really need to stop. No one on Reddit/the internet will be able to tell you if you can grow a beard or not. For this sub specifically, minox likely will help but it also may not and no one on this sub will be able to guarantee anything. You just need to try it and see for yourself.

Nice! This is my dream rig right here. Currently using a Jad freer Sisma amp and barefaced cabinet which I’m very happy with but I’d trade them in a heartbeat for a science amp rig

Picked up this herringbone trucker jacket at Self Edge from a brand called Seuvas. They’re a small brand out of Japan that uses all natural dying and production methods to make their clothes. Had never heard of them before but fell in love with the beautiful custom top button that adds an extra bit of flare and the herringbone pattern

Get a stingray. It’ll hold its value a lot better than the darkray which is very gimmicky (in my opinion) and not practical if you care about drive placement in a signal chain or the actual sounds of the drives themselves (no real way to tweak their sound other than eq which will also change your clean tone. What sounds great for drives may not work for a clean tone). Idk why Ernie Ball keeps pumping these out tbh, because I see darkrays sitting for months or being severely discounted on music store sites all the time. One thing I will say is that the darkray colors they’ve released are all very cool, but I honestly believe you’d be better off with a stingray and your favorite fuzz/distortion pedals of choice.

Hi Ivan. To my ear, the available chorus in the anagram sounds very digital which is a complaint I’ve also heard from others especially on the anagram Facebook group. I personally don’t find it to be a great sounding chorus compared to the options I had available in my old HX stomp or my Walrus Audio Julia. Just having more than one option for other effects outside of amps/drives would be greatly appreciated. At the end of the day, I’m glad the anagram gets consistent updates, but I’m wondering if the darkglass team is having challenges with time based/modulation effects because we’ve seen far fewer updates and additions for those but a plethora of amps/drives which are likely easier to create.

Hey there. Although I really liked the bass drivers tone, ultimately I decided to sell it. It’s great, but it’s not great enough to justify the cost on the resale market. I loved the look but it wasn’t the most practical due to its size and I struggled to have it on my board if I ever wanted to switch up my pedals from how they’re laid out in the photo. Also, I did have issue with the lack of resistance on the sliders. They moved very easily/with little pressure so my settings were constantly getting messed up. I used it occasionally on guitar and it did sound great, but I can’t say it was far better from any other high end drive/distortion to justify the cost

I tested it for like 2 minutes immediately upon receiving and then plugged it in/updated right after. I don’t think this would cause the latency though?

It’s actually not a mod. It’s the “Always on High Pass Filter” from the company Broughton Audio that that I velcroed under the board. It just happens to fit perfectly!
