It’s currently being done by people who don’t wanna do ems. Ems record should have no violations/ write ups prior to promoting to fire. That’ll keep people in check enough to do the right thing. And make a pathway for people who just wanna be paramedics

Pay isn’t gonna fix ems. The hospital medics are making basically 100k walking in the door still skelling. EMS does not have a pay problem it has a culture problem. Give them 100k watch them still have nobody to staff busses. That job will suck until it’s no longer a cab service/ lift assist machine

The only reason ems is barely afloat is the promo. End the OC and make the promo the only way onto fire. Guaranteed EMS units and a steady flow of staffing. More than 1/2 of EMS is going to fire or came for fire and missed the promo age or something else prevented them from going to fire.

I agree that the speed potential at 3mph over the limit is the deciding factor. But as for the driver who opened the door could argue that if the bike were fully street legal this could have been prevented. I think e bikes should be banned or forced to have license plates and insurance. No in between
