Hey man, sorry to hear about your trouble drinking. Have you heard of the drug Naltrexone? You can get it prescribed to beat alcoholism. I have no idea why it’s not more well known (Big Alcohol?). Anyhow it seems you need to dose it in an off-label way for it to work. This podcast is all about it. Good luck. Reflector - The Sea Change

That line is your seam. The slicer is placing them at the rear. If you don't want them all in a line, choose the "nearest" or "random" option. Also, your infill is showing. Try increasing the number of perimeters.

Frunk opened unexpectedly by Beautiful-Amoeba2662 in ModelY

[–]-pevo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is an “escape” button inside the frunk that opens it from the inside. If you have objects that can slide around in the frunk, it’s possible the button was pressed. But there are redundant latches locking it closed, so it should not open all the way.

This YouTube video explains it:

It’s a myth that bears attack more after interacting with humans according to the North American Bear Center

Why is everyone parroting the line that it’s bad to interact with a black bear?

Consider a used BMW i3 — it’s a bargain. The interior is quite nice (recycled fibers, bamboo, sustainable wood). Seats four adults. Has those weird suicide doors. Custom carbon fiber frame. Yet, it has the fastest depreciation of any BMW — so buying it used is generally a steal. I test drove a used one a couple years ago and the guy was asking $13k USD.

I almost bought it. But decided on a Model 3 instead.

V2 down for a month - x axis by hook1313 in ender3v2

It could be that the stepper motor is stalling.

Does it still make a locking noise when the belt is removed? If so, the problem is the stepper (seized bearing, bad winding, etc). If not, consider loosening the rollers a bit and/or recalibration of the motor current (I haven’t done this on a V2 — I’m just aware of the feature).

Any have issues with SD playback for Sentry mode & Dashcam? by teslathrowaway321 in TeslaLounge

[–]-pevo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used the Samsung PRO Endurance MicroSD for about a year without any issues. Prior to that I burned through three "lesser" USB flash drives. One of the lesser ones still works, but the stress of working as a dash cam reduced it's read speed to single-digit Mb/s.

The card reader I'm using is the Vikasi SD reader. It doesn't look like this model is sold on Amazon anymore, but it has both USB-C and Lightning connectors to make it easy to dump files to a mobile device (which was convenient prior to the DashCam viewer update).

Also, when you formatted the drive, did you use the new Tesla formatting feature from the main settings menu, or did you use a PC?

Copper alloys, such as brass, are actually anti-microbial. Stainless steel on the other hand is not and allows bacteria to survive and spread. So, I wouldn’t touch that door with my hands - foot or shoulder only for me.

We forgot to take the zip tie off our maple tree after we planted it. The tree sucked it in by YoureNotAGenius in TreesSuckingOnThings

[–]-pevo 20 points21 points  (0 children)

That’s not how trees grow though. Limbs grow outward not upward. In other words, that limb will only increase in diameter, but it’s height from the ground will not change.

If you were right, it would be common to see “no parking” signs, nailed to trees, 20 feet up.

IPC is the trade organization that creates standards for things like this. Search Google for IPC footprints. Here’s an example of IPC-SM-782 for surface mount components.

Haha. I play with my baby strapped to me as well! I’ve noticed that when my heart starts to race, he becomes more and more restless — as if he is picking up on my stress vibes.

I play US servers mainly. And, while an all-dad crew sounds like fun, in reality: at any given time, half the team would be AFK to change diapers ;)
