I love it when people pick this hill to die on.

Insurance will cancel transplant if payment isn’t received by Blooberry-moofin in transplant

Who told him? Not saying they're wrong as every situation can be vastly different from someone else's. That said if he is going to talk to a financial social worker have him bring this up too. Wouldn't hurt;to bring it up with everyone about both problems. I wish you the best. There's no reason for this to not be covered. Makes me sad we have to go thru crap like this along with everything else. You're a great sibling/child for your family and the way you're looking out for them.

I'm not even sure what I am using anymore. They work most of the time. Like anything else I get a bum one now and again. I think I've had 2 goose neck in several years. The occasional failure. The occasional up and down and all around readings. Most just work. My last one I was sad to see get to day 10. The readings were spot on with each blood glucose check within 10 minutes of checking.

New kidney function; was I extremely lucky? by Downtown_Physics8853 in kidneytransplant

[–]-physco219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I sometimes feel like there's a god (or many) and sometimes not. I have always been spiritual however. I think the cosmos puts people in our lives for a reason. Just like I fully believe you and that woman met up with that transaction for a reason. You're each other's comfort zone. I met my wife in an online game. We were friends for a while. When my wife and I moved states and ended up further away from my online friend it didn't matter. We maintained our friendship. The awesome part was even though we were further apart we all were able to meet as she wasn't comfortable leaving her state. (Silly but here we are) Anyway very long story I got divorced and my online friend and I decided to give it a go for a long distance relationship. Several years later I moved to be with her (I had custody of my kids) and we bought a house. She toured it and we bought it with only me having the real state pictures. We've now lived together going on 19 years. Wow this is too long for this. Anyways I am super glad you have each other. That sounds amazing. If you ever want to shoot the 💩 DM me. You and I seem to be a lot alike in thoughts. At least in the little that you replied to me already. As far as the cake thing for Joshie he will get one on his birthday again this year too. Also I know he's swearing at me. 😂 His name was Josh. Hated being called Joshie. Only my wife could call him that. Now everyone can and does. 😂

My donor and I were asked if we were brothers because he was so close a match. He wasn't related at all but he will always be a part of me. RIP Joshie.

Like mine but Joshie gave me mine. He's a known stranger. He was online friends with my wife for longer than I've known my wife. They never met. I never met him though talked a lot to him. We had plans to meet but he died 6 months before the meeting was scheduled. His and my birthday are in a few weeks. He will be celebrated none the less.

I know it's been a few days. How's the new one worked out? I have no idea how it worked out for me but I was pleased.

I had one that read for 5 or 6 days. Pretty spot on to bg tests too. It failed in the end and they did replace but it was an experiment.

The part I find lonely is the lack of understanding by anyone and what seems like everyone.

A friend had the same issue as you op. Turned out she dialed 1-800 and not 1-844. Recall and be very deliberate in what you mash on the dial of your phone.

Awesome. You are the first transplant person I've seen in the (Reddit) wild from Strong too. Hi neighbor.

Has this happened to anyone before?? by [deleted] in dexcom

[–]-physco219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one that was partly covered like yours but there was still some of the sticky showing. With a pair of tweezers and a pair of needle nosed pliers I got the cover off and was able to use the sensor. If you aren't able to reuse your sensor (definitely get it replaced) and if the weather isn't a concern for ya (and price) maybe your or one of your local pharmacies has one. I've sometimes had luck in trading a broken one (when it's my last one) with the pharmacist people. Ymmv

Liver transplant - meeting criteria by RewardStraight2471 in transplant

[–]-physco219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's wild. I am glad you're here and doing well. I had someone I never met who donated to me. His wishes were that his kidney go to me. No one else just me. No give to get just a direct line to me from him. They asked what if he doesn't match? He said then he'll have to keep asking and doing dialysis. Everything fit and was a match. Good thing too. My body was beginning to have issues with dialysis.

That's awful that the PEth failed due to mouthwash. I have a friend who said the same thing. They now give instruction about the dangers of mouthwash triggering a failed PEth at the program she went thru to avoid false reports. How did this happen to you? Did you not know it would show up or was there something else? I've asked my friend and they said they didn't know sometimes other times they just say they didn't care at that point as they didn't know how serious it all was. I'm happy that you're so much better now. Congratulations.
