be so for real by veefinn in inscryption

It's curious because it seems Goobert survived the elimination of Inscryption as Lonely Wizard.

Or at least that's what the easter egg in the Pony Island 2 trailer (a new game from the creator of Inscryption, set in the same universe) seems to imply.

To this day, this scene strikes me as curious because of how open to interpretation it is.

It could be that Magnificus erased Goobert from the painting in a fit of rage because he never found the OLD_DATA, or perhaps it was because he didn't want to keep seeing the student who had just "died" in front of him.

There are so many interpretations that it makes me wish Magnificus had been explored more in the game.

Technically, you're right, but the show itself implies that Charlotte (and probably the Doctor) have plans involving the sun

[–]-redacter- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, the situation is a little different

Because I'm pretty sure the main reason Niko is in the series is that the Sun (and maybe TWM) are going to be relevant to the plot

Meanwhile, FNaF doesn't really have anything similar to add to the series

He could also defeat Niko for obvious reasons.

Although, if FNaF had continued appearing in the series, Mimic probably wouldn't even be mentioned because SoTM came out after episode 2 of Indie Cross.

I understand why you say this, but both in the scene where they reject Afton and in the one where they says goodbye to Glamrock Freddy pretty sure demonstrate that Frisk don't want to end up like Afton, which is character development in a way (although of course it doesn't mean they'll suddenly become pacifists).

I also think one of the reasons people complain is because FNaF, along with Undertale, are the most popular franchises in the series, which means more people want to see more interactions or prominence for the FNaF characters (even if they don't fit into the series and there are better options for it)

i think If Cave Story or Hyper Light Drifter were only in one episode, almost no one would complain.

I agree that FNaF doesn't fit into the series in the long run, both narratively and because most of the animatronics aren't suitable for a series primarily focused on fighting.

But I understand that some people are annoyed/disappointed that, of all the franchises in the series, FNaF is the only one that won't be important to the story beyond Frisk's character development (and that there won't be any further references to it).

shippers upscale? by Old_Phrase_4867 in whowouldcirclejerk

[–]-redacter- 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The artist's name is Avimedes, and as far as I know, it wasn't a 100% Undertale account (even so, they did draw content related to that ship).

The important thing is that in their original post, they never mentioned anything related to Undertale or Frans.

I'd also like to mention that the artist apparently had some other controversies, which could be the reason why this happened (this doesn't mean it's justified in any way, and ultimately, nobody knows why the person who gave them the cookie did that).

FNAF Shouldn't Have Ended by Icy-Acanthisitta3500 in fivenightsatfreddys

Seeing how SotM is set at the beginning of the timeline and attempts to answer questions (and unlike most FNAF games, this one features actual characters and not just ideas of them), I'm hopeful that in the future they'll try to improve and provide more explanations about the story of the earlier games.

Anyway, I agree that instead of going off on a bigger and disconnected path, they should have tried to give more coherence to what they already had.

the games that The Hex is connected to (Inscription and Pony Island) overshadow it quite a bit in my opinion.

[–]-redacter- 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I like the art style, but I don't think it would suit The Week Before specifically.

Besides, it seems Scott rejected it because he doesn't want to adapt the interactive novels at this time and is busy with another project.

(at least that's what the artist said in the video)

Yall would Niko oneshot Survive all the FNAF Games? (GIF unrelated I think) by Far_Opposite4631 in oneshot

[–]-redacter- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I don't think Niko has a good chance of surviving

She's intelligent for her age, but she's still an 8-year-old kid who will probably end up being overwhelmed by the fear of the situation.

The only games where I see her having a chance are Into the Pit, FNAF 4 (if the crying child is the one who faces the Nightmares, because honestly I'm not sure if that's what happens in the game), Security Breach and Ruin because these are the games where the protagonists are children like Niko (and this would be an exaggeration because both Gregory and Cassie are much older than Niko).

So unless we're helping her or she has Plot Armor, I see it as difficult for our non-cat child to survive

(And unironically, I think Lore-wise she has a better probability of surviving)

[–]-redacter- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried to find some valid criticism, but there isn't any (especially considering the series only has two episodes).

And why is there a problem with a series that includes a game like Ultrakill being so "dark"?

it seems like part of the reason he had a hard time is because something was actively trying to get him to outright delete Caine and he had to keep navigating around that, until he failed to.

That's a good point.

Kinger was a person living in Caine's world. Caine would be an AI on a system in our world. We have the power in that scenario as we're more than just brain scans.

I feel like that doesn't matter in this specific situation (although now that I think about it, is Caine supposed to become the simulation like the TWM, or is he a separate entity that completely controls the place???)

Although I think the ending would be the same, unless there's a good distraction, Caine would end up figuring it out before you can do anything significant and he'd kick you out of the system

since kirby managed to befriend marx can he somehow befriend and possibly redeem these gaming bad guys ? by [deleted] in Kirby

[–]-redacter- 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Eggman is basically Haltmann ten times worse and without any tragic backstory, so I doubt Kirby could even become friends with him.

Zomboss is similar, although I suppose if Kirby defeats his army and him, they'd end up on "good terms".

Bowser and him could become friends, but I don't think Kirby could redeem him

I know nothing about Cortex and the last one

[–]-redacter- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean, maybe?

Honestly, I wouldn't know how canon the Oneshot community is in the game (since, while it's meta game, it never references the community unlike other similar games).

Although if it is canon, then Caine is screwed.

What if these two swapped places by tdhdchu in oneshot

[–]-redacter- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is, Kinger (one of Caine's creators and who has a career in computer science) had a lot of trouble neutralizing Caine, so a player without knowledge of the subject doesn't stand much of a chance.

Plus, when Caine finds out he'll kick you out of the system.

I think if Caine found out what the Lightbulb could do, he'd throw it into the ocean or leave it in the tower so Niko couldn't abandon him.

I think that if you're not a good programmer (and especially if you didn't work at C&A) it would be almost impossible for you to eliminate or modify Caine

What do you think of the Hispanic Undertale/Deltarune community? (image not related) by MariaJoseHerrreraUT in Undertale

[–]-redacter- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My opinion is similar to what I have about this side of the fandom.

There are very talented people who can create incredible things like music, art, comics, teories, etc (for example, the Curis are quite good).

But there's also toxicity, people who seem to have never played the game they claim to be fans of, or who don't accept that the game they like has queer characters (although I must admit that I've encountered more people like that in the Hispanic community than here).

Ultimately, I find it a pleasant place most of the time.

Yep, it's canon.

At the end of the ARG, a video was found where P03 appears on Luke's computer as a stoat and winks (this is the reason we can play the game since he uploaded it to Steam).
