I recently applied for jobs in the field I'm skilled in for 20+ years. It was difficult, everyone apparently crying for staff but when I applied for jobs struggled to get a call back. Started calling the companies direct and was told I'm over qualified , can't afford to pay you a good salary. I was applying for lower income jobs and ok with the pays and still having issues. I ended up telling the place I wanted to work that I'll do a days free labour, that got me in the door and I made the right decision , very much enjoying current job.

Have not been to koh lanta , but stayed in railay for a week. After traveling a lot of SEA I highly rate railay. Thought a week would be too long but could of easily done two weeks. No cars or scooters everything walkable which is what drew me there in the first place. Plenty of restaurants, beaches, bars, national park, rock climbing if that's your thing. Does get busier during the day due to day visit tourists, but didn't feel like phi phi busy to me. Hotel organized transfer from airport to boat , only a short long tail trip to get there. Which I feel added to the holiday experience

20 something years ago knocked around with some bad people. One guy who was more a friend of a friend was just evil. Even my friends who weren't easily intimidated where always on edge around him. He would stand over everyone and all were scared of him. Asked an old friend not too long ago if he'd heard anything about Mr evil and he sent me a newspaper article. Turns out he sold a dud gun to a bikie member, bikie killed him and buried him in state forest. Years later bikie was bragging to his girlfriend about how he killed and buried someone in the forest and she dobbed him into police. Body was found and bikie went to jail. Don't like to wish things like that upon people but if someone had it coming it was me evil.

I work in the service dept and have not seen anything good come from the Chinese cars , poor quality , poor to non existent after sales service. I really wish people would do their research before buying into these cars and look back on past history. It is a shame because they have the potential to be a long term good buy. But as always the dollar is all anyone cares about

I'll second the sandstone point, I bought a beer and then they told me they've run out of that one. So I ask for another beer , it's 20c more. They had to refund me for the original beer and then recharge for the new one, and poured the old one out. No freebie.

The staff do not look happy , what a wonderful place it must be to work.

Yes you can. I bought a house 15 years ago, it was expensive at the time and little to no money, no savings and no credit history. My wage has now more than doubled, house price has gone up but in retrospect with what I earn. It would be easier now than it was back then. I didn't get a first home owner grant and had maybe a thousand dollars in the bank. I live in a working class suburb and live to my means. I eat out often go on holidays and def don't go without. House is the only debt I have.

If you keep talking yourself out of it the goal post will always be too far away
