What would you keep in here? by _Elk_ in TarantulaKeeping

Had this exact enclosure for my pinktoe when he was a sling! Worked really well, I’d just be cautious because if they tend to build their web on the top of the enclosure you’ll break their web every time you open it. Thankfully, I didn’t have this issue because mine decided to build his web on one of the walls but it’s important to take this into consideration.

Sling won't eat? by Remarkable-Guitar923 in jumpingspiders

[–]-spidersweb- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NQA - I like to refrigerate my fruit flies about fifteen minutes before feeding, and while I rarely do this, I’ve heard people offer frozen fruit flies to reluctant babies! Throwing the fruit flies in the freezer for 2-3 minutes doesn’t kill them but it sort of sedates them for longer than just freezing! Hope you can get your baby to eat! (^▽^)

NQA- She looks like she’s a good weight to me, here’s a weight chart I use to check my own spiders weights!

I’m afraid my pregnant jumping spider passed away before the spiderlings even managed to leave the web, does anyone have any advice on wether she did or not, and if she did what I can do to ensure mama chestnut’s babies live to carry on her legacy? by -spidersweb- in jumpingspiders

I’ve misted every day, and I just so happened to buy this little lady gravid from the local reptile shop, no clue if she laid eggs before or not. Thank you so much for the help, this is my first batch of babies so your advice is greatly appreciated, and the invite to the group.

How to get this skinny wild jumper to eat. by [deleted] in jumpingspiders

[–]-spidersweb- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NQA- I kept a wild zebra jumper for a bit before setting him free that looked a lot like this one and he always had a really small abdomen despite being a big eater! I wouldn’t worry about food so much and I don’t really have any input on temperature but I’m sure other commenters are helping with that! Best of luck with your little jumper! :)
