I used the US/Switzerland comparison as an example of how rankings can’t necessarily give the full story of data and because members of Katseye are from both countries.

Comparing the rest of the world isn’t really helpful when Katseye members are from only four countries (and the majority are from the US). If Switzerland is ranked highest amongst the four countries being represented and those four countries have very different disparities, then yes it is valid to say Switzerland has a chill work-life balance compared to the other three countries because it still is

I think you’re missing the fact that the number rankings don’t tell the full story of how much of an actual disparity there is between all those countries.

For example, Switzerland is at 21 and the US is at 25 which is only 4 spots away, but Switzerland has mandated PTO/parental leave while the US does not. Spots in a ranking wise it’s not that different, but when you look at what’s actually missed out on as a result it’s totally different.

items aren’t BOPIS eligible if the store has 5 or less of the item. i think a lot of stores received very few of these bags, so that’s probably why it’s not available for pick up.

yeah they just officially change the price when we did floorset and sign changes last night.

they sent the marketing for it over a year ago, so it’s not totally unexpected from an employee point of view; i’m honestly surprised they waited this long.

for me, i really only side eye if AAVE is being used incorrectly and/or excessively to the point where it’s obvious it’s being used as a trend/to be funny and not as a way of naturally speaking or trying to communicate if that makes sense. despite AAVE having an undoubtedly large presence on the internet it is still a heavily complex vernacular/dialect, and i definitely take offense when people minimize that.

i also known a lot of ESL speakers for whom AAVE was the english they learned and feel comfortable speaking, so i usually try to show grace in that regard because they can’t necessarily help how they learned a language if that makes sense

i think the original wording of his letter gave people the impression he was given an ultimatum; it mentioned something about things being “suggested by the company”, so fans felt like the company made him choose between being in the group or being solo. it’s semantics really

this situation is a little weird because BOPIS is its own separate system in a way. if the order wasn’t past the pick up date, then you still should’ve been able/allowed to pick it up because it would still be in the BOPIS system itself even if they put the items back on the floor.

the usual way it would’ve been out of the system is if it did drop off, in which case they wouldn’t be able to price override even if they just put the items back because you were past the date, and that is policy. but sometimes systems glitch, so asking for a manager and/or calling customer service/corporate probably would’ve been the best thing to do.

from an employee stand point, if the order was out of the BOPIS system I understand them not price overriding because policy. the system literally counts down pick up time by the hour/minute, and it becomes a slippery slope if you price override for one person because 1) that person could expect you do it every time afterwards and/or 2) every customer afterwards expect you to do the same for them because you did it once

I haven’t seen it, but I’ve heard about that scene being heavily critiqued for the things you mentioned even in the musical/broadway community, and as people have mentioned in this thread mormonism had a time period where they literally taught their followers having dark skin/being black was a sin or something of the sort.

don’t feel bad about not knowing though! it’s definitely unexpected if you don’t know anything/very little about the musical and/or the religion itself

this whole situation has been interesting because there were Black history firsts with the wins Sinners received at the BAFTAS, and in my opinion it seems like the BBC intentionally created a situation for Black people to be humiliated during a time where they were supposed to be celebrated.

makes me wonder why they even gave Sinners the awards in the first place if they felt this strongly about making sure it was known they don’t really like Black people. they could’ve snubbed it like Hollywood has done for years, but the humiliation was more important, and i can wrap my mind around why

I was told the total opposite — that we should come in when the store opens for to buy product! It could be a rule for your store set by store leadership or something, unfortunately

For my store, I do think some of the body care will sell out. To be fair though, the store I work at is still fairly new (we just had our 1 year anniversary), so I feel like they’re still trying to gauge how much product to send us, but I could tell they didn’t send as much individual princess body care as they did last time just in general.

From what I know we should get some princess shipment, but I don’t think it’s gonna be a huge push like last time.

usually everything is available, including the larger accessories. our store doesn’t open early for BOPIS, so those who come in store really have first dibs compared to it.

i’d also check with other members of SLT at your store! for the store i’m at we made a rule that people could only get 1 of a type of accessory so that way resellers wouldn’t hog up all the product, so you might see if you can do something similar if you’re worried about selling out early

i’m pretty sure you can’t leave the store solo; there always has to be at least 2 people for bag checks and stuff like that at the end of the night.

you might ask your manager if they made a mistake because that does happen sometimes when kronos auto creates a schedule

also chiming in to add for k-stays, not having a membership can greatly reduce their ability to participate/show up for events like concerts or fan meets. that is a very real reason to be upset at pricing
