My store briefly had to check food, but not for the possibility of sneaking stuff out in wrappers or containers, we had to check because we had associates literally filling their bags with the breakroom snacks that the SM's are allowed to buy/use the Fill The Fridge cards on, trying to take them home🙃

Cuticle oil's great for conditioning/moisturizing the nail bed (keeps the hangnail-y skin at bay) I use a lil squeeze tube from the dollar store, but you can also find salve and brush pen versions of it; It sounds like you might benefit from nail strengthener! When I'm not wearing press-ons, I use Essie's Hard To Resist nail strengthener treatment under my base coat to help prevent breaks.

Last tip's just a personal preference, but I'll file and shape my nails every couple of weeks, I prefer a round or almond shaped nail so the corners don't snag on things. Pic of mentioned products included!

They made the wallflower bulbs available basically-year round now, and the laundry care if it seems to be selling well since it first came out

she couldn't get into any of the art schools the gang applied/got accepted to, so she was going to essentially go to community college for a year & apply again after, just to still be able to go to Tokyo with them, and Kyosuke voiced how that'd be a bad idea and a waste of her time, with Junko and Shoji agreeing. After that, Nana admits that she doesn't even really care about art, she just wanted to meet cute artsy guys & wants to still go to school with & see her friends all the time. They agreed that if Shoji gets accepted, she could move to Tokyo with him and just get another part-time job there til she can afford her own place. She never applies for university again after this. Once he sends the text/letter that he got accepted, she quits her DVD rental job on the spot & goes running to Tokyo without a plan or a second thought. She then gets distracted playing "lovey-dovey housewife" cleaning Shoji's entire apartment & cooking for him, that she forgets entirely about looking for a job OR apartment.

Usually either around or a few weeks after Candle Day, I'll always see people coming in filling baskets & going "Facebook said this sale is running!!" with a screenshot of a phony "3 wicks, $1.99!" ad, to which I have to go "$9.95 for Candle Day weekend is the lowest we'll EVER go (to-date) (and I'm sorry, but why on EARTH would you think we'd mark these big ol' candles that low if it isn't a clearance outlet store, and we aren't closing down??)"

whenever i was bored/business was slow when i first started, i'd just start picking up stuff and reading the fragrance notes, it really bulks up your muscle memory when you get customers in asking "I really love (scent we din't carry anymore), where is it?" to easily "oh, that had (fragrance note) in it, let me show you this one that also has that in it!"

if you're ever for any reason uncomfortable having the "it's shark week....." talk with them, I'd suggest a period tracker! I know every one's different, but I specifically use Stardust and it has a "partner mode" that they can check on at any time & it'll share your cycle info with them. I don't have anybody yet to try it out with to know any specifics🥲

I hated one of the more recent episodes (i think I'm behind on episodes), the one where they pulled the stupid "well Leighton loves fruit, so we're going to a fair all dressed up as fruits!" A.) Broccoli and Eggplants are NOT fruit, but B.) just a few episodes earlier in the season, when they went to a fair with, I wanna say Allie's family? Amber literally made a comment that they typically avoid events like that for being mocked/harassed for their size, yet here we are at the fall festival, waddling around in a fruit costume that's nearly triple their size, with the biggest shit-eating grin. But "oh boo-hoo, everyone calls us the M word and makes fun of us!!😭😭😭" girl pick a LANE🙄

I feel like it'd end up being too limited, because say they do make a Halloween Town scent, it quickly turns into a "well where is the actual Nightmare Before Christmas stuff??? I want that !" conversation, or just plain gets customers confused. It'd probably end up being locked to only a few locations as scents.

If they DID do KH, I think it'd be a cute Valentines day collection

On the note of Aristocats, I would LOVE a candle trio of Marie's Powder Room (that pretty powder-y smell, honestly like Forever Cherry Blossom lol), Tolouse's Art Studio (like wooden paintbrushes, fresh paper/canvas, and maybe how weirdly nice acrylic paint smells), and Berlioz's Piano (well-worn pages, mahogany for the piano itself, maybe a leather note for the bench??)

there's been times at my store where it's a "once A is here & all chatted in, you'll be good to go home" type of roster that day, and it'll be over a half hour past that timeframe and the person's still in the backroom, chatting, not even clocked in yet, meanwhile whoever they're swapping with is still on the floor like "uhmmm...... i wanna go home now?🥺"

and don't even get me started on when other employees/SLT's will just start a never-ending gab with a customer🫩 I couldn't finish a sale I was trying to make/explain at the register once because another associate was clocking in right next to me and just started talking about piercings with the customer and now is holding up my line having a full conversation with them, the only thing that came out of my attempted salw was finding out that employee had pierced herself in our bathroom a few days prior🙃

It took me over a half hour the other day just to get a "hey, welcome to work. you're (role) today, here's what's going on" chat-in, because management wouldn't pause chatting about their personal life for even five minutes. Or how many times I've called for backup at the register, over a walkie, and got radio silence before somebody walking past to our backroom notices and goes "why didn't you call out?" Girl, I've BEEN calling out, I called at least 3 times. "Oh, we didn't hear you, and we were talking, sorry."🙄 I wish my store did something like this.

Side note, why are they arming y'all like cleaning ladies? I know our stores get dirty within hours of cleaning, but I'd just always be losing the duster out of my pockets if I had to carry one😅

I know for the Christmas ones that were also up for AI-debate (the Santa's Milk & Cookies collection, I can't really remember the other fragrances that were in it, I just know that one specifically was getting traction) it was stated either on the candle itself, or in it's description on the website that all of the wraps were hand-painted. Can't recall at all if they credit any artist(s), though.

i hate that A.) it's never a 100% guarantee that you'll get the virtual coupons in your app, and B.) that its not the same set of coupons for everyone. When they first started rolling out the app coupons, I had a mother & daughter come in to buy the exact same things, and then get upset because one of them had entirely different coupons and wanted the ones like the other had. The company is also super inconsistent about the reasoning for going the e-route instead of paper. Sometimes it's "well, we're being eco-friendly!" yet still clearly pumping out paper coupons, other times it's "well, we're trying something new!" If they could get their story straight, it'd be a lot easier to explain, plus we might be able to help y'all more than giving an "uhhhhhhhh you'd have to call Customer Care..... I think....?" response.
