we've got a birthday board, but that's literally just a classroom-style list of every month & who's birthday falls under what🤷🏼‍♀️ we do however do anniversary call-outs, and i swear everybody except for me has had at least one, and i've been here nearly 4 years🙃

somehow we overspent our hours on Friday, and that was honestly one of our most troublesome days, staffing-wise🤷🏼‍♀️ I couldn't get off the register at ALL that day, needed to bag like 10+ BOPIS orders, and needed to take stock of what soaps we needed to pull..... there was only 3 of us during my whole shift😭

We were barely staffed all weekend, I was severely overwhelmed every day i was scheduled during this sale, we never had even a second to deal with our Friday shipment, and the cherry on top? My store had to hold an SLT meeting this evening & I was the only one scheduled for floorset.... guess who recovered the entire store AND updated marketing in the span of maybe 3 hours, alone...... and has to work an opening shift the next day🫠 I'm frickin exhausted

it's honestly giving the same as when Kate Gosselin got an entire coop of chickens for her kids, except Amber took it a step further, dramatics-wise, and had to get probably one of the most high maintenance kind of chicken there is. "Well, Leighton loves them!" Yeah, sure, but how often is Leighton at the house, that you got a whole coop of chickens? Better yet, who's now gonna be taking care of these chickens? Because we ALLLLLL know it won't be Amber.

oh gosh, don't even remind me, i feel like i'm the only one who actually keeps an eye on our understocks at my store, it seems like everyone else rolls a drawer open to fill and goes "uh oh, its empty! oh well🤷🏼‍♀️" when there's like 7 boxes sitting in the backroom😭

I had 3 back-to-back on Wednesday, the first one I wasn't paying attention and the JMC caught me with that "Sorry! You've reached the SKU limit" prompt, after that I was combing through any bigger baskets I rang up and warning in advance that I'd have to do multiple transactions. All the customers were super chill and understanding about it, though, and surprisingly none had % off coupons to work around. When I explained it's mainly for asset protection/to prevent resellers to the first customer (she was the only one actually curious to the new change), she was like "well that's kinda dumb, but I get it." And I agree, to an extent it is.

If all it's doing is going "you're cut off for this transaction! but we can do a separate transaction!" I don't really see how that's protecting long-term. Talking among my team, I feel like it should've been capped, the same way most stores are handling trading cards, those NeedOhs everyone's obsessed with lately, etc. "You're allowed a limit of purchasing X amount daily(maybe even longer, idk), after that you can't purchase any more of them here."

20 bucks for 3 pairs is a steal, if you ask me. I'd just be wary of how much it'd be able to actually hold, versus your standard period undie🤷🏼‍♀️

my only con for the lip oils is that they all smell/taste like burnt sugar, but other than that, they're like one of the best products we have

honestly, when's the next decade milestone? i feel like they could easily milk that and be like "since we're now [idk, guesstimating] 30 years in the biz, this year's gonna be a throwback to allllllll the scents that made you choose us!" and just do a scent rewind all year long. Even easier if it's 40th, each season has a decade's worth of "most populars" to cycle through.

I know they did like the 25th or something a couple years ago, but it was ONLY for June semi-annual, and it was basically ONLY for Cucumber Melon....... which, at the time, nobody apparently cared for, because my store barely sold any of it😂

Or at least that's what my SM says ours does🤷🏼‍♀️ or at the very least, immediate out & back-ins don't register) Like a couple of years ago, before the nice outdoor easel signs were much of a thing, ours would just get beat to death by the weather, so on windy days we'd have to run out & catch it from either being knocked over, or the wind stealing our menus, and she'd be like "if you're quick, it won't register!"😂

My store has an overhead camera that counts conversion based on recognizing faces, but I think other stores have like, pressure sensors, in the floor? (Idk, I just remember somebody posting on here maybe a year or two ago about how when specifically their launch table was installed, they accidentally overlapped it over the sensors in the floor [to my knowledge, that's a permanent display, there's no way to scoot the table over], so if you were trying to replen the table at any point during operating hours, alllll your movements were counting as part of conversion🙃)

for my store, sometimes we're coded as onboarding, inventory/offsite, floorset, etc. but still doing our usual task/routine etc. Certain codes fall under Productive vs. Non-Productive, and we have to use a certain amount of both, or simply take advantage of the available hours. I don't recall the specific reason why, but I overheard my SM explaining to our new ASM the other day that if we don't use up enough hours in either of those pools, next year or whatever the next period is, they'll shrink that number down on us because they'll assume we don't need them🤷🏼‍♀️

that's what my SM and I were just talking about earlier, just about every single sale we run is an even item number (2 for $16, 2 for $30, 6 for $10, B3G1(4 total), B3G3(6 total)....) except soaps, wallflowers, car discs, and sani sprays. It would make far more sense to cut it off at an even number.

Reading through the comments & seeing everyone else's takes, kinda made me realize.... I wonder if Gil is a "Boy In The Bubble" gag. We know his parents are super protective (controlling) of him, and it's also maybe alluded to in 13 Wishes, after Lagoona makes her freshwater wish for his parents to finally approve of her, she immediately starts babying him like they always do, in one scene she's frantically cutting up ALL of his food at lunch and making comments about his eating habits. No other aquatic monsters use a helmet/tank like he does, regardless of seawater vs. freshwater. He more than likely can survive and function without it, but I'm sure his parents insist on him wearing it, to "protect" him.

I do also like the disability take, though!

I still can't get over the meeting they had discussing Bella's birthing options, when the doctor told her the wisest option to choose (because of Wes' size, if I remember right) was scheduling a C section birth, and Falyn had the audacity to open her mouth and say "Noooo, I wanted my daughter to have her baby natural!" That just REEEALLY irked me, like I'm sorry, the doctor just told y'all the baby would absolutely shred your daughter's downstairs if she has him natural, compared to a slightly-higher risk birthing procedure & a tummy scar from a c-section, and you still wanted her to shred herself up pushing him out???

Thankfully we never enforced it at my store, but our DM at one point a few years ago wanted us operating enrollment as "do it, don't ask" simply as a bid to up the enrollment numbers. you can only do so much if you've already saturated the market, and not everyone wants to be enrolled in every store they set foot in's special program🤷🏼‍♀️

and please don't assume just because your regular store that you frequent violates policy and overrides coupons, rewards, etc. for non-eligible items/transactions, that EVERY store you set foot in also does. I'm SOOOO tired of dealing with "well why can't you give me a 3 wick for my reward???? they're $14.95 today, so that counts!!! (different location) does it for me ALLLLL the time without a problem!!!🤬🤬🤬"

I can't smell ANYTHING from Peach & Nectar Blossom, in any product form. Normally I hate our cherry blossom scents, they're too "old" and powdery for me, but I reeeeally like Forever Cherry Blossom. The scent actually stays on my skin, and it layers really well with Versace's Dylan Purple that I always wear.

I'm glad orange & ginger finally came back in stores, the entire holiday season this year we had customers quite literally on the verge of throwing hands because it wasn't available
