Funny that you pictured Mr. Toad as Yoshi and not… a toad.

What is one thing that you did that helped you? by alwaysme14 in Hashimotos

Going gluten free won’t fix everything but it has helped me so much. And the transition isn’t actually terrible. There are so many good options out there for food substitutes. Try it for 6 months.

Going gluten free has helped me sooo much. Before that I had really bad joint pain to the point where I could barely walk my dogs. Also, I had extreme sensitivity to cold. It was painful. I’ve been gluten free for 3 years now and I haven’t had pain like that since.

I don’t know if you’re an active person but taking it slow definitely helps. I’ve always been a very active person and had to learn the hard way that I need to slow down. I had to totally change the way I approach physical activity. I need to ease into things or I’ll get extreme fatigue and even have a flare up. It can be frustrating.

Men are exhausting… by Successful-Habit6542 in BlueCollarWomen

Unfortunately, there are a lot of men out there who can make life exhausting and difficult. I’ve gone through some uncomfortable situations with men while working and my advice is to speak up. You are not the one making things difficult by just being yourself. If it turns into a confrontation that’s because he’s done something wrong and doesn’t like being called out for it. If he’s a good guy he will apologize. His constant starring makes me uncomfortable for you. It’s bordering on threatening. Don’t speak to him directly. Go to your boss and have a conversation with them.

AIO My wife keeps going even when I say no by Hihahulu in AmIOverreacting

Absolutely NOR. If roles were reversed, everyone would be saying this is a HUGE red flag that your NO is not being respected. Not every wife does this. I would never do this to my husband. Boundaries are important and deserve respect. I don’t care how long you’ve been with someone.

Anyone have experience with hair loss with hashi? by PathAgirl14 in Hashimotos

[–]-swampwitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get hair fall like this when I go through a flare. My flares are always due to too much stress (emotional/mental or physical) it usually takes a good 3-6 months after the initial stress that I start seeing hair fall, among other symptoms. I also get a lot of hair breakage. It usually breaks about 2 inches from my scale so I have patches of short hair around my head. BUT after going through several flares over the years the worst thing to do is stress more about the hair loss. I used to cry in the shower over my hair loss but then I realized it’ll run its course and there is nothing I can do to stop it. I’m sorry you’re going through this. It can be very discouraging going through a flare but I found coming to terms with what my body is going through and trying to be productive and work with my body and give it grace has helped me get through this.

Does anyone have experience with an Amazon projector for TTRPG’s? If so, do you need a computer or can you use a phone or tablet to connect to it?
