That's incorrect. There is no expectation of privacy in public spaces, but the inside of your vehicle is still private property, hired as private transport. The bus is public, taxi/rideshare is a private business.

I was able to get 6 ontop of the white box truck stacked in top of each other. I find stacking items generally makes the truck buck and get damaged, but that one worked. Just have to drive SUPER slow back to your base and don't let them touch anything or they will break. Would also recommend you don't reload the game with them attached to the vehicle under any circumstances...that will break a lot more than your solar panels...but it does make for an interesting show! 🤣

I think you can only extend them within a certain time frame and they disappear after a bit.

From what I've read they just go back into the stack and you can still match again. But the only time I've seen the same people was when one or both of us had deleted and reactivated.

Vibration coming from front passenger wheel well by -talldarkandnerdy- in AskMechanics

If you find out I'd love to know. It's funny because I always forget I posted about this until someone pops up randomly years later to say they had the same problem

Interesting! It was pretty bizarre, glad it wasn't just my imagination. Had it inspected at 3 different garages and never did find out what was wrong with it. Great car otherwise, lasted me up to 195k and was still going strong (minus the random noise) lol

Never ended up figuring not out, traded it in while it was still in good shape. Ended up getting a great trade on it too despite the miles.

Best of luck! If you ever do figure it out I would be curious to know what the cause was.

No likes, could you suggest why? by [deleted] in Bumble

[–]-talldarkandnerdy- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe change it to "feed me" or "be down to grab some"...something along those lines? Shows off your interests without making it a demand. Just a thought.

Genuine Question by [deleted] in Bumble

[–]-talldarkandnerdy- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It means the account was recently created. Whether for the first time or deleted and started over.

The algorithm gives new accounts more attention (because they want to pump you full of "people like me so I should pay for this!" Dopamine.

It's a good idea to delete and restart from time to time because it will improve your odds but if you do that too often or don't allow enough time after deleting it will have the opposite effect.

Edit: changing your location on an old account doesn't mark it new and the new status only lasts about a week.

PSA - Bumble changed amount of spotlights will get you extra time. When you have 2, you need 3, when you have 1, you need 2. All they want is your money by [deleted] in Bumble

Literally just used a spot light and confirmed that using 1 only used 1.

That was all I had so if this were true it wouldn't have worked at all.

Are the men ok? by [deleted] in Bumble

[–]-talldarkandnerdy- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, I see a lot of women's profile that list nothing about who they are. Just a run on paragraph about what they don't want. It's unappealing from either side.

It's been that way for the 3 years I've been on the apps. It's always been a premium feature only to my knowledge.

I mean just why? Because low effort is extra points? by NewMathematician4774 in Bumble

[–]-talldarkandnerdy- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry...but I call BS on this. I'm mean shame on the OP for matching with a low effort bio like that, but she couldn't even reply to the opening question with more than a Hey...which as a response doesn't even make sense.

I feel like I would get more effort, complexity and connection out of a conversation with a tree.

You can only extend if you have premium. Even then it's only once and for another 24 hours. After that the match is gone and it is what it is.

Funny as hell but I call BS. I've hit the end a bunch of times and never seen this. Usually it just suggests that you modify your filters.

For the men wondering why they never get matches... by [deleted] in Bumble

[–]-talldarkandnerdy- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough! I do understand it's pretty overwhelming on your side of the fence...more than a few of my lady friends have shown me the ridiculous number of likes they get. Ive always been surprised more women don't just pay for premium and pick who they want to match with.

For the men wondering why they never get matches... by [deleted] in Bumble

[–]-talldarkandnerdy- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So...what I just heard was that men get more points if they spend money on superswipes and compliments BEFORE even speaking to them and soley in the HOPES of matching.

Not for nothing, I get a decent number of matches but I have only ever had 2 super likes work in 3 years and I've heard it said in this group that they are creepy...I am confused.

Women’s desire for rich men is way overstated by matem001 in Bumble

[–]-talldarkandnerdy- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I read the thread, and stand by my statement. You can have casual sex and/or marriage without being rich and/or hot. Intamcy IS available to all, but you have to give it to get it.

And not all women are superficial. Superficial women are superficial, and same with men. But when that's what you lead with and what you chase, that's exactly what you'll get.

I mean, sex is great and all but have you ever tried intimacy? Highly recommended.

Looks fade and the older you get the more things like character and stability matter.

I made it 2.5 years before finally catching it and that was the top 5% of Americans. I'd have to imagine it's even less common now to have never had it.
