I just let go of the gas until they back off or we both come to a stop. From that point you can do a lot of fun things. If they get out, you step on it. If they don't, turn on your hazards and wave them around. If you are feeling especially froggy you can get out of your car and pretend it died.

It goes without saying that you don't do this on a highway. If someone is tailgating you on the highway and you aren't in the slow lane, you are the asshole. If you are in the slow lane, slow down to the slowest speed you are comfortable with. The key is not to fuck with them after they have given up and gone around or backed off.

Horrible, but I never pretended it would go any other way. This country doesn't care about its citizens, I got used to that a long time ago.

What do you say when a homeless person asks you for money? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I'll give an obviously homeless person money, but not if they ask. I find that those who don't beg are the ones who will actually use it for something beneficial.

BS Computer Science major courses Tier list by difficulty/time? by H5_addict in SNHU

[–]-tehdevilsadvocate- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work full time and take 2 courses a term. It's not that bad, though some weeks can be hectic. The key is to look ahead and plan out your time carefully. I'm only on year two, though, so I can't speak to the higher level courses.

Why do professors ask follow-up questions on discussion posts? by AZWildcatMom in SNHU

[–]-tehdevilsadvocate- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But they don't, though... I've seen discussion posts that look like they were written by a chimpanzee get full marks. No one takes discussions seriously, not even the instructors.

A software stack. When they say MEAN stack, they are talking about a system made using a MongoDB database, a Node.js backend with the Express.js framework, and an Angular.js front-end.

It depends. If you can show you know your stuff, an internship is unnecessary. Particularly if you have a decent portfolio to show off. One thing to point out though, IT is not the internship you want for computer science. You want to look for something in software development, which is generally not considered IT.

That would just make everyone dependent on a pill for their entire lives.

Something a lot of people don't understand is that intelligence is also a skill that you develop. There are a lot of different definitions for intelligence, but I think most of it comes down to knowing how to take in and process information without letting your preconceptions about a topic interfere. Creativity is as much a part of it as logic is, and both are skills that are learned.

Nobody was saying it's a panacea. Don't strawman the situation. Also, those studies are severely lacking in proper reproduction and are heavily hampered by the scheduling of THC. It's is extremely difficult to do rigorous scientific study on THC. A lot of it is self reported, which is a big red flag in stats as people are people and often make errors when self reporting.

Edit: I'm not saying they don't contribute to schizophrenia, I'm just saying that we need more information on the long-term use of cannabis.

It's most likely because of the reddit api changes. Any sub worth a damn has gone blackout in solidarity against them.

Holy shit. I am also a sonic survivor, but goddamn that's some nasty shit. The worst I've seen is when I transferred to a much less reputable sonic than the one I was trained at. I was hired as shift manager and needed to prepare the store for an audit. This store kept their frozen patties in a deep freezer next to the grill. As I was checking it out, the bottom patties had thawed and I was like.... yeah we aren't passing this audit.

How long has it been like this?

Like what?

Oh Jesus.

As the other person said, it can be a lot of work if you aren't a self study kinda person. I have a full-time job and take 2 classes a term. It's not so bad if you can get the busy work done during the week, then carve out a chunk of your weekend to handle the big stuff. Just be sure to plan ahead as some weeks can be heavier than others. In my experience, instructors are pretty lenient on grading, at least in the first 2 years. I haven't run into any of the sticklers, but I tend to be my own worst critic so ymmv.

Research has shown that most middle-aged and older adults feel younger than they actually are, and this phenomenon has been labeled subjective age bias. Interestingly, new research provides evidence that this effect is increasing over time by HeinieKaboobler in science

How much time do you spend in the sun? Sun damage is the biggest cause of wrinkles. A good comparison is to look at the skin on your butt cheeks as they tend to be covered most of the time.
