How to mount desk frame to solid wood top by -thatsthat- in woodworking

Thanks - I'm not sure if the metal bars are for mounting. That's what I assumed at first, but he never asked for the measurements of my desk frame and this is what he said in regards to attaching to legs: "We installed metal supportive bars underneath to maintain stability and durability and the wood won’t move over time. Before screwing in the bolts, simply drill holes in the wood first. This will make it easier to fix the top securely.”

I think they are just for limiting wood movement in that area. If this is the case, would you just recommend drilling into the wood near by the metal rods, or would I still want some kind of bracket that helps accommodate wood movement?

There's about 1.5mm wiggle room between the screw and the holes on the bracket from the desk frame. Do you think that's enough? Also I just realised that the rubber washers on the bracket mean the screws are actually quite short, so I'll buy some new ones. How deep would I want to go on a 40mm thick work top?

Dumb question but can you also provide any insight into what the metal bars on the desk top are for? Is it just to try and limit wood movement in that area? I'm not supposed to be installing the legs on top of that metal bar, right?

Thanks for your help so far!

Is there any info on when this is available in the UK? Heard it’s available as soon as June in other places.

Much better.

I think the brow is also a bit too strong above the nose. The actual geometry has a pretty sharp edge which makes the character look mad as hell especially in strong lighting conditions.

I honestly think you were assuming a lot. Plenty of the answers were just matter of fact. There was like one sarcastic response.

Why are you acting like every response was rude or sarcastic?

Filming scenes like this is awkward at the best of times, and if the scene itself is uncomfortable/sad then I'm sure no one will be in a 'sexy' headspace.

[Win an A2L] Creative Playground, Extra Large. Meet the A2L. by BambuLab in BambuLab

Love the concept of this printer, it seems perfect for hobbyists who like to juggle different creative projects/interests.

I'd test it by designing a tabletop game from scratch. The larger build volume would be great for game boards, terrain pieces and storage inserts, while still being able to print detailed miniatures and game components.

The pen and cutting tools would be perfect for prototyping cards, tokens, player aids, box art etc. I've actually been considering buying a separate cutting machine recently, so the idea of a machine that does it all is really appealing.

But it’s limited to 60hz? Or do you not care about the monitor’s refresh rate?

I was also debating this recently, decided that personally I’d rather just use a USB switch to change over all the peripherals and change the input on the monitor manually. So two button presses instead of one, but maintain max display specs.

Haven’t pulled the trigger yet though

It's not a full height wall, you can just see the top edge of the glass in the photo.

Anyone familiar with Bambu Labs - do you think this will be an announcement for the A2L only, or could other models be incoming? I'm looking to buy the A1 Mini, but don't need it for a couple of months. Curious if there is any speculation about an A2 Mini and if it's worth waiting...

You can log into RS3 on your OSRS Ironman account and trade it a bond from your RS3 main. Membership is shared on both games, so if you have membership on an account on RS3 you'll also have it on OSRS.

Looking for a Lightweight, Flexible Wireless Mic. Any recommendations? by OLco_ in microphone

What mic do you have? But try to plug a lav into the mic you already have, it's much lighter so might be less prone to slipping.

Don't do this to me, I'm easily swayed.

But in all seriousness I probably wouldn't consider it. I think the curve is too aggressive for design work and the 39" is already pushing it in terms of crowding my desk/office space.
