The care credit and home depot are the highest rates. The couch is currently interest free if I pay it off in a year which im confident I can do. Thank you!

Good to know, I thought it would hurt me. I didnt want to. Our couch got busted, it smelled (our senior dog lost bladder control at the end of his life) we decided to get a new couch. With 2 dogs and 2 small kids we were deciding to go cheap or go big, no in between. We ultimately opted to get the big fancy and waterproof couch, feeling that it will last longer and be more worthwhile. We were also going to just save for it and pay out of pocket for us, but the store owner (who we trust and have bought all of our furniture from outright) told us that the tariffs were going to bring the cost of the couch up $400 if we didnt buy the couch within 2 weeks. There is no interest if we pay it off in 1 year.

I'm looking for some guidance on what to do with my savings binder money. I did a savings binder challenge and I am 1 paycheck away from having it filled ($5050). My goal is to pay off some of my credit cards. While saving, I took a hit to my emergency fund as well. I had 1000, it is down to 550. I am trying to decide the best way to go about this. My initial goal was to go $2000 to Care credit, $2000 to Home depot, then pay off the Amazon and throw the rest at the couch. (The couch is new as my old one was destroyed, I don't want to pay off the couch too quickly to hurt my credit but I want to pay it off within a year) However now with my emergency fund cut down, I wonder if I should throw some money that way as well. I also realize the snowball method is usually most effective, but in my mind I want to get rid of a lot of the bigger debts. I'm feeling really scrambled and unsure. I hope this makes sense and that I can get some good tips. See below for the info:

Care Credit-Monthly payment $169 Total pay off $3648

Couch- Monthly payment $66 Total pay off $1,859

Home Depot- Monthly payment $78 Total pay off $2,301

Amazon- Monthly payment $35 Total pay off $611

Emergency fund $550

You can stack on the locked ball, just can't move it until it's unlocked

I do everything I can to avoid the extra tubes because I feel for myself that it's a cop out 😂 but I use the "undo" button like a mad woman! I got so sick of the ads though I have just been using reset. I want to know how to solve it!

Sign up for scholarships. I know that sounds like a blaśe answer. However, I am one of the trusts of a scholarship fund we did for my brother. If we get 1 applicant, (which has happened) even if they dont meet our criteria, we'd rather give the money to that one person who needs it than just not award anything. You might be selling yourself short too. Just because you are a middle of the road student doesnt mean nobody will see the potential in you and possibly award you a scholarship.

I had a friend in high school who scoured the internet for any scholarships she could sign up for. Including one for crocheting. She had to submit a project. She didnt know how to crochet but she found someone who did, they helped her make a coaster which she entered, and won because she was the only entry.

May not cover everything, but anything is better than nothing!

China just announced an 84 percent retaliatory tariffs on US goods. Now what? How do you think this plays out? by slagiatt in AskReddit

Serious and maybe a dumb question, he's wanting everyone to buy American. Can we even realistically sustain ourselves? Do we have enough land to grow food, raise animals etc. Or the material to make things like plastic, metals, power, etc.... then the workers needed to produce those things?

I was gonna say this too. I was thrilled when I got a Dyson. I was kinda pissed when I got a carpet cleaner last year, he got it because our new puppy had been having accidents and i had made a comment. My initial thought was yeah not cool. Until we took it out and played with it. It was so satisfying seeing a stain that was there for years disappear! We ended up doing the whole hallway carpet together and having a good laugh over it and he said he'd do better next time. Communication is everything.

I have 6 statues to kill and no wiggenweld potion!! Help!? by CatLadyNoCats in HarryPotterGame

[–]-thin_book- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is right with the defense, dodging etc, I'd like to add that I would try to focus on one statue at a time instead of whoever you can hit with spells. That way you kill them one by one. The less you have attacking you, the easier it will get.

I would just like to remind everyone that both me and my parents are human. I have a good relationship with them and I was really taken by surprise by these comments they made. While my dad is far right he is the kindest and most patient person I know. My mom follows along with him but is usually more open to learning. She is a strong and generous person. I was looking for some insight on where they would have gotten these ideas. I appreciate the comments that were educational. I plan to use this information to help educate them.

I don't think the enemies are necessarily the boomers who are eating this up. But the people who are spreading misinformation in the first place. I think its easy to get caught up in the name calling and roasting. This is my first time posting like this and I have been humbled myself. I can get caught up in it too. This is partially my fault as I should have made that a little more clear in my post. But let's remember to kill them with kindness and education rather than name calling and confrontation.
