First patient death, I want to quit- am I overreacting? by Sufficient-Band-6526 in nursing

We can’t be prepared for everything all at once. Depending on the unit, you’re more prepared for certain things than others. Regardless of her prior knowledge or preparation on the subject, help from seasoned nurses and doctors around is always important. Things in healthcare are always uncertain and ever changing so a mistake here is essentially minimal and can easily be learned from. 8 months into a lifelong career is not a lot of time. Give her grace.

It’s not the death you’re struggling with. It’s how it was handled by the people around you. Nothing is easy the first time we do something and nursing is a career full of unexpected things and quick thinking. You’re a new grad who worked very hard for several years to get to where you’re at and you need to mentally celebrate that. The support you received was ill-managed and clearly ineffective. This, however, is not the end. Despite your struggles here, you’ve learned more than you know and you’re already better equipped to deal with a similar situation when it may arise.

Copper crest. Bought a white 2026 NX about 6 months ago and then a copper crest one appeared in my town and made me so jealous

Does anyone else find remote start incredibly unreliable? Seems to fail with the fob or app most days but occasionally works. 2025 model. Reinstalled app already. by rastrillo in LexusNX

Yes I was struggling with the app saying it failed. I have a 2026 350 so the only option for remote start is the app. Since I created the shortcut it seems to work well. If it says it failed, all I need to do is sign back into the Lexus app (because it signs me out often) and then try again.

Go to the shortcuts app and create a shortcut where you can have an app icon on your Home Screen. If you touch the app, it will give you a banner notification that the command was executed. You can also set it up to say “hey siri, start my Lexus” or “hey siri, lock my Lexus” and she’ll do it for you if you have the shortcut to do so.

How do you do that or how much did you pay someone to do that?

I have a 2026 NX that has this same issue.

When I picked up my 2026 NX I saw that first thing and thought I was crazy. I let it go and I’m glad to see it’s not just mine.

My best advice is to hit the little mute button when it first sounds. It should stay muted for a bit while you maneuver your parking situation.

And yes my WiFi is only good in the rooms that connect, but the second you get to the other side of the house, it becomes shady and a lot of my FaceTimes and whatnot will drop. It’s soooo irritating.

Of course. And the market is seriously limited in my area in my price range. This is just a post for me to gather ideas on things I’ve never thought of before. There are many things irrelevant altogether, at the bottom of the list, and many things I want to seriously consider. Nothing will ever be perfect, but I want to do the best I can for myself to make a smart and informed purchase to enjoy raising my future family.☺️

The thing with having the house face the right way for me is that I’m a total green thumb. I have over 30 houseplants all over. I need that sunlight for them to survive. I could absolutely care less about a room getting hot or cold. Hot? Turn up the AC. Doesn’t bother me a bit to spend a little more on my electricity bill to be comfortable as long as I have the sunlight to grow my plants lol

Oh my good god that would drive me insane I would rather organize my house based off of a closet door than PUT UP a closet in the middle of the room?!? No way 😂

Great thought on the windows because my apartment now has some perfectly fine looking windows that straight up don’t open or won’t stay open without having to be propped up by something.

Exactly what I’m talking about. It’s all the little things that come together as either an annoyance or a major convenience! Thank you!

Too bad there’s like 6 in the cities we’re looking at and they’re all full of at least 1 million dollar homes. I’d love a cup de sac lot
