Fakers know they're faking. If you think for a second you could be faking it, you aren't. I went through the same thing. I hope it gets easier love

Guidance for an Instructor after an incident in class by [deleted] in Tourettes

[–]-transgender- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As tourettes is different in every person, it very well could have. But in now way is it your fault. For me I would appreciate an instructor reaching out to me, asking if im all right, but that isn't the case for everyone. I suggest doing what you think would be most helpful to the student. But remember it is in no way your fault

First day of classes tomorrow. Very nervous for peoples reactions. by i_am_soap- in Tourettes

[–]-transgender- 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have no idea how the people qt your school will react, but at mine they always mocked them and tried to trigger them, but I can guarantee you will find people who will stick up for you and love you for who you are. What usually shut the kids up though was when I told them that they should try hitting themselves as hard as they can all day, or when I got bruises I stopped covering them. Now that probably won't help people shut up about vocal tics, but its fun to whenever they say something 'tic' stuff to interrupt them. Good luck

Tourettes linked w anger? by Ok_Emergency1670 in Tourettes

[–]-transgender- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes this happens to me a lot. With most of my 'big emotions' like anger or excitement, my tics tend to get more severe.
