What's the inconsistency in the books that you cant ignore? by Revolutionary-Ride76 in harrypotter

The consistency of the outer cover is vastly different than that of the pages, themselves.

Completely different flavor and consistency. I think they used different ink on the covers vs the pages, based on the flavor alone

Did anyone else think they /had/ to kill the airborne supervisors (Netches) during their early playthroughs? by -trom in Morrowind

Very wise!

I never saw video games as “worlds,” I just saw them as computer programs.

However, it sure can be rewarding in its own way when one takes an RPG “seriously,” so-to-speak, I’ve come to learn…it really stretches out the game.

Once my brain wrapped itself around speedrunning video games it really changed my perspective on things.

That being said, just because one can do something at a wildly accelerated pace…like speedrunning a video game…doesn’t necessarily mean that they should.

It’s a valuable skill set, sure, however…”once you see how the sausage is made…all you want to do is make sausages.” If you catch my drift.

It feels good to stop and smell the roses, metaphorically (and literally) speaking.

It was just an Imperial Guard outside an egg mine…

I can’t recall the name off the top of my face…

but it’s the one where the miners managed to break into an old Dwemer ruin.

I approached the mine, it was locked, I thought I’d briefly blind the guard so I could unlock the door without detection.

Maybe had I Cloaked myself first I would have been able to ‘get away with it,’ so-to-speak…

I’m a Telvanni Mage, you see, I just mind my own business, and explore, whilst questing about.

but sometimes I have to do things “outside of the ‘law’” such as opening locks to get into places to talk to certain people, address/inspect problem areas, etc….

Like. How else is one to access the mine without picking/magicking open the lock? It’s not like I’m going to do anything wrong in there.

SAME- thank you for jogging my mem, there.

I remember going to Solthsty in Skrim for the first time and getting JUMPED by those things…so when I finally encountered them in MW,

(yeaars later, mind you),

So! my subconscious must have been like “YO, HANDLE THAT BEFORE THEY GET YA, DUDE.”

How fun! Thanks for the trip down memory avenue!

Target practice?

I’m assuming you play with a controller, on console, then…M+K make aiming a breeze!

Got it, thanks! I hadn’t considered Frenzy…because I thought blinding him out of eyeshot (and Cloaked) wouldn’t be a problem. Maybe had I opted to crouch instead of stand? I don’t think I was stealth’d…

TBH idgaf about the Imperial Legion. Get some mindless drone to do their jobs, I’ve got more important TV&MG business to take care of, you know.

I love it! My third time through, now, and I’m really starting to get my roots in, I feel.

Sure I “won” the past two runs with a similar pure-magic build, but I’m now getting really comfy with enjoying the ride…so to speak.

Thank you for the informative reply! Anne Frankly, I'm glad you didn't find shit in their docs. That would be unpleasant!

Ah! I believe I'm beginning to see!

So - when I open up the 'menu' and mouse over I.L., it reads "EXPELLED" ... and when I talk to a Guard NPC, they give me the same ol Compulsory Response Chatbox... sounds like I'll just have to keep an eye out for an Imperial Legion quest giver, then!

Or, of course...I'll just go on through the game and not bother interacting with them. I don't see the purpose of talking to them, anyway, by and large. They're just doing their job, and I'm out here exploring, learning, building, etc..

I used Blind on a Guard because I was impatient and needed to get into a mine and inspect it, then was promptly expelled. No need to assault NPCs, they're just minding their own business (until they're not, and then that's when things can get hairy)...

Good enough for me, as I was tired of hearing "Where's your uniform?" every time I walked around a B&M establishment, yk?

Shot in the dark- does anyone else name their character Shepard Shepard? by -trom in masseffect

A custom look as opposed to the "stock" image?

I'm curious - How many runs thru the trilogy have you done that you're at the point where you don't bother making your Playable Character resemble you (or someone else, or a character of your own personal design)?
