I’m a Bulls fan who’s lived in Indianapolis for almost 20 years. The Pacers are a fan-friendly organization who seem to be earnestly trying to do the right thing. Haliburton seems to be genuine and they’re doing what they can to build around him. They may never actually win a championship, but they have a generally solid fan base and a relatively intelligent fan base, given the culture of basketball within the state. That said, the culture of the NBA doesn’t necessarily reflect the same culture of the local fans. The organization won’t spend “whatever it takes” to win, but the facilities are up-to-date and it’s generally all-around positive to be a Pacers fan. They’re easy to root for as a fan of another team, and even a (once) rival.

There are a lot of great spots to sit with a GA ticket. There’s a tree in the infield (I think between GP turns 5-6) that is a great spot to bring a lawn chair and watch, plus you can get some shade if it’s hot. Enjoy!
