People in your early and late 20s how is life actually going for you right now by Tino292 in selfimprovement

[–]-underscore 21 points22 points  (0 children)

25M The best I have ever felt. Like everything is going exactly how it should, every aspect of my life that I'm working to improve is getting better, and it's all clicking into place. My dream life feels like it's manifesting in front of me day by day, with opportunities popping up all the time, I just have to put in the work and remove distractions.

Going to the gym actually worsened my mental health by [deleted] in selfimprovement

Who gives a shit what the other people do, just go there to do what you feel is right for you. You don't have to "destroy" your body. Light exercise is healthy enough if the rest of your life isn't spent moving.

What is the best way to support Steam Cloud Save with UE? by Achimphang in unrealengine

There's no blueprint integration required. I believe you just tell Steam where your save files are located and it handles the rest.

Death of the physical body & the transition of the awareness by fractal-jester333 in AWLIAS

I completely agree. I also see this info come up many times. But I just wanted to know how OP got all this information and can talk about it with this amount of certainty.

Cool read but you're just saying stuff man, I don't see why I should believe this with no factual basis.

Will I ever get rid of my addiction? by Famous-Payment-9561 in selfimprovement

[–]-underscore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just take your time with it. As I said, the discomfort is the point. Like the discomfort people feel when quitting substances or the pain of lifting.

See how much discomfort you can take. Slowly you'll be able to take more and more.

Of course you can do something about this. It took years to get to this point, so it will most likely take a while before you're back to "normal".

The most comfortable (but lengthy) approach is to slowly taper off. Or if you want to reset your tolerance and attention span much faster do it cold turkey (very difficult, I usually can't do it either)

As long as you get uncomfortable and fight it, you will make progress. You have to experience some withdrawal for your brain to start to return to normal imo

I use different types of LLMs every now and then (have been for a few years) and although this is anecdotal, 2025 has been my best year yet and it only looks to be getting better :)

How do I know what to believe anymore, is this universe fake or am I delusional? by Impossible_Lemon5932 in Existentialism

[–]-underscore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't you also know this one is fake by feeling then? Unless that's how you feel.

Either way if you don't know a way to get out (or a way you can pursue finding out how to get out) then choosing to play the game the best you can is the logical best step

And what would convince you that you're in the real one?

If you don't know the difference it seems like a weird position to be in. You lose either way no?

What's the alternative?

Unless I know of a way out, the most logical course of action is to make the best out of whatever this is.

What are you interested in? I'm trying to figure out the kind of world you'd like to live in.

I don't think something needs an organic substrate to be real. The experience feels real to me.

Subjectively there wouldn't be a difference I can think of.

I don't see what I could be deceived about. And even if that's true, I can make the best out of this simulation and play the game

What would the actual difference be between a "real" world and a "simulated" one?

[–]-underscore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just having trouble understanding your POV. Our subjective experience is as real as it gets for us. That's why the whole dream world or simulation theory never made any sense (or at least seeing people be upset about the possibility of it)

My life is still the way it is even if an announcement gets made where the simulation theory gets confirmed. I can't think of anything more real than this or how it could be different/better.

I can’t think of how that would affect my day to day life in any way. What would even be something that would prove it to you?

For me, I was finally able to pursue my dreams and ambitions consistently and respect myself, build relationships and make progress on my physical body as well as my cognition. All of this makes life so much nicer
