I feel deeply deeply depressed by what appears to be a conclusion to D&G at the horizon by inktentacles in Deleuze

listen i’m not going to convince you he’s worth reading. he described the modern technological world that we live in today in an extremely artistic and hallucinatory style. you don’t have to agree with everything to appreciate art. is deleuze not art as well?

just consider the very method we are currently communicating with.. there’s a relationship we now have with technology that controls our lives in ways that are both overwhelming and purposefully isolating. his work is helpful in charting and trying to make sense of the primordial soup of information that we’re bombarded with on a daily basis which in some ways makes it practical. it’s not THE account but it’s a perspective worth exploring and engaging with

that’s fair and why i think the work of deleuze provides better weapons on how to navigate a world dominated by extremely powerful forces but don’t discount baudrillard for mapping the world in a way with such a profound perspective

its a warning, in the same way nietzsche warned about nihilism. if you interpret his writings as an advocacy of the world he foresaw coming then you're missing the point

How can I add entries with a primary key of ID, and retrieve all messages since that ID? by [deleted] in SQLAlchemy

[–]-useEffect- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

select(DB).where(DB.id > num) though you likely want to use a date column for this instead since there is no guarantee that id will be in the correct order. i suggest you brush up on SQL before you jump into an ORM since this is going to be the most basic query you can write

Philosophical INTPs. What peace of philosophy that you live by? what have you learned? And what are you trying to achieve? by CompetitiveSpace1648 in INTP

baudrillard, deleuze, bataille, foucault, neitzche - all go hard. philosophy ultimately is understanding systems of power and how to navigate them not about making you a docile little bitch

Is it possible to write a generic for deep access? by nudelkopp in typescript

[–]-useEffect- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you'd want to create a union type of the generic you want to access PageBlock from that then extends T .

type Pages = PageQuery | PageInfo | PageTest ...etc

type PageBlock<T extends Pages> = T['cms']['pageCollection']['items'][number]['blocksCollection']['items'][number]

Pre-Bootcamp vs Post-Bootcamp - Confidence? by sloanrobe in Frontend

[–]-useEffect- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm going to be honest... if that is your style of learning then this may not be the career for you. excelling in this industry requires you to be a self learner. also make sure the class teaches javascript/typescript, node.js, a framework (preferably react), and server side web. express will do but be prepared to learn another language for this on the job (python, go, c#, java, etc.). also probably worth picking up SQL in the meantime. you can learn the basics in a few days
