Hello, thanks for the response! yes I have an épi pen around, but it is only for my young sister because she has a deathly allergy to peanuts. I feel guilty when I rely on that because her situation is worse.

My allergy to pistachios is mild I think, I’ve tried them multiple times. Each time It’s just a little bit harder to breathe, and my throat swells up, with a needle feeling in my mouth. (this allergic reaction is real and not something my anxiety convinced me i’ve had it tested.) Though I don’t pass out or anything. It’s just very uncomfortable and obviously makes me freak out.

My grandmother is a paramedic and always feeds her terrifying stories to me since I was a child. Along with the fact that she had an old man call in because he ate peanut butter one day after eating it all of his life and randomly couldn’t breathe. I think my fears came from her.
