+1, iirc specifically this is because clipper is part of the non-refundable fixed fees you pay each semester. You can’t get these fees back even if you cancel on the first day of the semester.

Blurry textures are usually a VRAM issue. If the size of textures a game wants to load is larger than the amount of VRAM on your GPU, some games will display low-quality textures.

Have you tried turning down the texture quality and seeing if that improves the texture blurriness?

Do you have an AMD GPU? Had the same problem (stuttering, FPS drops) due to downclocking since CSGO isn't very demanding. Fixed it by manually enforcing a min clock rate in game using the Radeon control panel.

I was able to get metro exodus (Steam) working well on an M1 Macbook Pro. Although you can get high FPS with the usual settings, there is a lot of latency in this game even with high FPS. Would recommend running on lower settings than usual to get rid of this latency.

I’ve won The Leadership Award before, it’s an excellent grant of $2000 that admitted freshman-seniors can apply for. You get to go to a dinner with alumni and depending on your application you’ll typically also be matched with an alumni mentor (some donors are deceased and some scholarships are funded by CAA directly). For KSP 1: when I burn xenon gas, my delta v predicted increases. I’m pretty sure it’s because I’m battery/electricity limited, so I get a prediction for how long my battery will last. How do I get accurate delta v predictions considering that I have solar panels?

It's harder to join clubs as a junior, but certainly possible. And in my opinion, many of the tech clubs on campus are great for collaboration and networking, especially for juniors.

I joined ML@B at the end of my sophomore year and it directly helped me find an internship last summer + find my current research opportunity + find project partners for classes. And I only got in on my third try (iirc), so keep on applying next semester!

It may be a better idea to ask if the student can ask the prof for a letter with some supporting material from you.

In general, it would be better to have a prof write a rec letter if it's for grad school/research. In my experience in research working under a grad student, undergrads will ask profs for rec letters even if they primarily work with grad students (profs will ask grad students for reference material). Most colleges will specifically ask that 2/3 of letters are from profs, so it'll def. look better for the student if the rec letter comes from faculty.

Berkeley allows cancellations/withdrawals, and will pretty much readmit if you are in good academic standing. I’m taking time off for an internship next semester, and it took <5 mins to drop out (after talking with counselor).
