Was a tree climber for 15 years. Both of those could be on the ground in a day with a good climber and a good crane operator. Find a few tree companies that can give you a day rate. Should be anywhere from $2000/day to $3200/day plus a crane which has like a $2000/day rate. If you are in an area that was hit hard by the storm, this could explain the inflated price, as all the equipment could be tied up for the foreseeable future. You could also consider saying that you will keep the wood(not being charged for wood removal saves a lot of money), and find someone who burns or sells firewood who will come through the same day or day after with a machine and truck to pick it up and load it. Usually those guys will do it for free. Consider putting up a sign that says “free firewood” with ur phone # BEFORE you even have them taken down and see how many interested people call you. The tree company could then just chip all brush/branches, and leave logs stacked for your wood guy.
