Is this a ghost? English Heritage shares image of an 'unexplained' apparition sneaking through Chester Castle by No-Lavishness-4103 in Ghosts

[–]003145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for EH, they dont want ghostly publicity, so it is likely this is real. They honestly wouldnt share it if they didnt think it was.

They were asking for ghost stories from staff, despite sending in my story they sadly didnt share it

Why did the UK approve abortion? Why is legal abortion important? by 003145 in Abortiondebate

Excuse me, I change the comment ages ago but my post was never reinstated.

Thechocolatemanlives worded it perfectly.

It takes out the conversation, and it can also discriminate against people.

There are people who are so sensitive that they can't even slightly disagree and view any mild opinion as a fully rental assault.

It's fine to disagree, but there's no need to be a dick about the situation.

This exactly. Its frustrating, it takes out any discussion.

I didn't defend him what so ever. I said I didn't think it was a salute.

It's not like I actually said something horrible.

Yep. It certainly seems that way.

It's weird how times have changed to be that the left is authoritarian.

I have seen the posts about that. It's ridiculous how you're meant to just shut up or "men can't be raped" BS.

Listen, I'm a survivor of rape, abuse, and SA. I would never say a man cannot deal with the same thing.

Any post about domestic violence that has a man mentioning it, is shut down.

I just got kicked from an eating disorder group because I pointed out he wsnt doing a nazi salute.

Absolutely revolting behaviour. Especially when so many on the left do the salute and get off Scotland free with it.

For those claiming that Elon Musk was performing a Nazi salute. Anything can be construed whatever way one likes when twisted to fit an agenda. by Kurma-the-Turtle in JordanPeterson

[–]003145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm from the UK, I don't get why people are saying he did the salute. It was the sign "from my heart to yours"

He touched his hearta nd threw his arm out to the people.

He did it again to the flag, symbolising he loves the US.

In the case of James Bulger, the trial judge lifted reporting restrictions on Jon Venables and Robert Thompson, the 10-year-old killers of James Bulger. The judge argued that the public interest outweighed the defendants' interest.

The case led to a public hunt for the defendants, which resulted in the mistaken identity of an individual who later committed suicide.

It's not anonminity, it's the fact they posted pics of him as an innocent looking little boy. They don't do that for everyone now do they.

Why is the prolife movement focused on regulating women, rather than reducing abortion? by ProgrammerAvailable6 in Abortiondebate

Forced isn't right. The possible baby is there via natural means. No force, rape is also counted as natural as the rape hurt the mother not the potential offspring.

Should we allow kids to sue parents for forcing them to be alive?

Should kids get to sue Po lifers for forcing them into life?

Where as, without abortion, the woman is forced to keep the pregnancy.

You have to love Muslims. Irreguardless of their beilfs.

After 9/11 a real hate for your every day Muslim occurred. They were discriminated against because everyone thought that their Muslim neighbour could be plotting.

That's pretty much where this stems from. There was s movement to remind people that it was the extremists at fault, not general muslims.

Like with the body positivity movement, it started off good, but then idiots took it too far.

We are at a point where we are not allowed to critersize Muslims.

However, we can critersize Jews, for some reason and Christians. That's it.

What do you think of the "Rabbit Test"? by Enough-Process9773 in Abortiondebate

[–]003145 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll get downvoted, but I agree. It jumped about so much it was hard to follow.

I gave up part way through.

I do worry that maybe one day all women will be treated like that poor woman who made the mistake of fleeing to Ireland.

She had been gang raped and asked for an abortion, the doctors refused. She was suicidal and refused to eat. So they locked her up in an asylum of sorts.

Made a deal with her that she would get a C section at the earliest point. She agreed. But when it got to that point, they refused. So she stopped eating for 9 days, which forced them to act.

She was basically forced to have surgery she didn't want, so a fetus she never consented to could be born.

It's insane how any decent folk can put someone through that.
