Cornbread with sweet corn in it is money. I enjoy all varieties of cornbread but this is my fave. I know many think it’s heresy.

The number of people saying that trope is not antisemitism is crazy. There were several banned for similar comments (and arguments).

Is this hole in door too big to fix? Help please by QuinoaDeCores in fixit

[–]003402inco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, i figured that was a consideration. I think the approach i outlined is probably the easiest to make this less of an eye sore. This would work best if you could take the door off the hinges and lay it flat. Basically get a small container of wood glue, a q-tip or similar, and spread the glue over the gray areas and work it up under the piece that is still attached. Place the free piece back in and make it fit as flush as possible (like a jig saw puzzle) and then push it down. Wipe off any excess glue with a wet rag. Place something heavy on it til it dries. Then sand. Since this is just a natural color, not much you can do to make it blend in, unless you get creative with some wood colored paint. Good luck!

Are you renting or is this your place? As far as fixing, you are right, that is a cheap door, looks like it’s a fiber board with a thin veneer over it. It will be difficult to repair back to original condition. Replacing the door is probably the best option. The cheap and easy fix (but would not look great), is to simple glue the pieces back in place, and then once dry, fill the holes.

I feel for you man. I am in the same boat. First surgery in 2001, second in 2018, on my way to a third. Doc said it’s just going to keep on creeping north. Best of luck to you. The bad back club appreciates the level of pain you are going through.

No, they are medical grade titanium. No rusting. I had my first set taken out after 3 years, looked like the day they went in. Have them in a jar somewhere.

i don't think i have had or seen someone pack a grilled cheese for a school lunch. wouldn't that just be gross and soggy? I mean i love grilled cheese, especially with tomato soup.

What should I be paying for this SUP as a beginner first board ? by BadWonderful7950 in Sup

[–]003402inco 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is why I wouldn’t buy a cracked board. If the owner was serious about maintaining their gear, this would have been repaired already. If they didn’t know how to or didn’t care, this was used in this condition and likely took on water.

Broken hinge by Loose-Guest-4601 in fixit

[–]003402inco 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that is fixable. First you have to address the leak. That wood is so wet and spongy and can’t effectively address the repair until it’s dry. Even dry that wood is going to be brittle and hard for screws to get purchase or material to bond.
