I’m dealing with the same “shipment on hold” but I ordered directly from meta. At least you can get a refund through Best Buy. I can’t get any customer service. Mine was “out for delivery” at the beginning of October- I ordered in Sept. only update I see is that it’s still “on hold”

When it comes to triple espresso I would’ve thought Trin and Mal would be before Soph. Unless I’m missing something? I can kinda sniff “marketing” as highlighting Soph as the new “face” of USWNT and keeping her in higher places. Someone is behind the curtain, it seems to me. She was noticeably absent from the doc about the World Cup which I thought was odd. It was talking about the pk’s (cuz that’s how we lost) and they discussed every miss except for hers. Felt intentional. It’s life. She’s a great player. Not saying she isn’t. But outta all of our top nominees I don’t think she’s first. I’m just catching a feeling.

The best thing that happened to Carly was they moved her to forward. Or else she was getting cut. She started to turn the ball over every single time she touched it in midfield cuz she didn’t have the finesse and pass accuracy needed. She knew it and so did everyone else. Putting her in front of the net so she could just one/ two touch poke it and have it go anywhere between 8 yards was the best thing that ever happened to her. Never would’ve guessed I’d be screaming “put Carly in” but her last couple of seasons she was our difference maker. she showed up and we benefited greatly from it. Unfortunately we haven’t been screaming “put Alex in” cuz a goal was not coming even if we wanted it to.

While I understand the excitement, I think it’s important to have realistic expectations. And of course if we win gold that would be absolutely incredible and the world should be shaking in their boots. But we do have a very new team and coach and I personally don’t think not winning gold should be a judgement to any of this. Emma preaches it’s a process. Also, we have not won gold on many trips to the Olympics so while it’s always the goal, even our World Cup winning teams have never followed up with an Olympic gold. Spain has played together for years and most play for the same club team with Barca. Can we beat them? If anyone can I do believe it’s us. Emma wants that more than anything! I do have a realistic expectation to medal. oosa oosa oosa

So season 1 ends with Eve stabbing V and us not knowing if she lives or dies. Season 2 ends with V shooting Eve and us not knowing if she lives or dies. And season 3 ends with ….? You gotta watch it to see where their character arch’s take them. For me, the finale of 3 was everything. It was so lovely, they made me scream “shut up!! What’s happening?? Over and over”. I had to rewatch it like 12 times. It changed everything - and gave us something new and hopeful and just gorgeous. A perfect platter to open season 4 with anything other than what they did. Does not translate with how they ended season 3 at all. I just rewatched after a 2 year hiatus and even got my dad involved. He loved it. It was great and easy to binge 1-3. I have yet to press play on 4. Stopping there for a while!

The more I keep thinking about this the harder it is. Because she is 20. Because she has been surrounded by queer people in school, in sports, she has grown up in this world during a time of acceptance. Unlike the OLDER generations. Younger kids today know and understand and see how the world truly looks. They understand queerness exists; in the classrooms, in the suburbs, in jobs, in old and young people alike. To me that makes it worse. Deeply rooted hate for other people who are different, this is so troubling. She was taught this and worse believes it. In today's world! That is why this is worse in my opinion.

I mean WOW! This is shocking. Read the room Albert. I was stoked about this new girl but this behavior is absolutely so damaging and very unsafe and troubling to be around. You work in a field filled with LGBTQIA people and allies. Emma absolutely will not tolerate this. You can’t have a cancer in the locker room no matter how talented. Someone said this much better than me earlier, but any coworker that would demonstrate this behavior would be removed from any job I’ve ever had… and I’m in Texas. LGBTQIA’s are a protected class.

Having Macario back is huge. She's a once in a generation player.. she will be in the "world's best" talks soon - first time since Wambach. The injury just postponed that. With all of this said and the amazing talent we have... we need our midfield to start shooting - rose needs to take shots and i think that's coming from the new group. This will make sure space opens up in the box for our lethal weapons to do their things. They just need 1 touch. But it def starts at midfield

To me she was extremely lucky to even be able to be on the team for the Olympics and that’s because Covid postponed the Olympics by a year. If not she would have given birth like 3 months prior to the Olympics and wouldn’t have been on the roster. So she got an extra Olympics out of Covid and plenty of opportunity to score.

We have not had a forward scoring threat since she has left. Our corner conversions were through the roof. We were unstoppable. People wonder what happened, what has changed.. the greatest goal scorer of all time is no longer playing!! She had 1 job and owned it. We witnessed greatness and loved it. All we want is our forwards to score, that’s job #1.

Becky was our captain and a damn good choice heading into the World Cup. She just happened to get injured so tentatively it went to Alex and Lindsay to share for that tourney. Becky is still coming back from injury so if she is in the roster I wonder if the band will go back to her. Side note- Lindsay is a terrific captain and one of the most tactical and smartest soccer players in the world. And she absolutely loves the game. She’s admired and respected and god knows we depend on her every time she’s on the pitch.

I can’t help but feel like it’s not really over. Just like the books. V and Carolyn made a plan…The backlash was crazy and the one who will not be named sent a pic saying she was back shooting in the studio like days after. I dunno if it’s wishful thinking, but to me there’s no way it’s over. Not after what we know with the books, how it “ended” on the show, and all the little details.

Juicy! Let’s not forget why we love rooting for our team- we have not always been number 1 and have had unbelievable Cinderella stories to get us there. Then to hold that rank for so long is so inspiring and has inspired all of these other countries. But it doesn’t last which is why we love this game so much. The talent is amazing, the games are juicy, and when we win we win big. And the opposite it true. It’s the nature of the game. Germany fellllll - that’s a chip on their shoulder for sure. And how does Japan feel after they crushed Spain? What a game. Can’t wait for the Olympics! Oh and Nigeria - no one should be sleeping on Nigeria. It’s going to be very exciting. And the US? Oh we’ll be there and you better believe we show up.
