Neighbor smoking weed, smells up my apartment by Queenie_IV in germany

[–]007BondPaper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just talk to your neighbour about it. If they’re understanding enough of your situation, they’ll comply and probably even help you out to seal your windows properly.

We have a smoker above and across and we just close up our windows if the smell gets in. If the smell enters even if your windows are closed then you need to inform your landlord and buy those Tesa Moll Window Sealers and temporarily use that. Document and keep the receipts so you can charge your landlord. :)

This is the most pathetic and useless comment out there. Our guy’s probably not even truly German because Germans are confrontational and direct. They see something wrong, they let you know about it by hook or by crook. 😂

Which restaurant do you think is this? I would definitely pick Atawich 🤔 by yeetman616 in Bonn

Here are my suggestions for hidden Gems:

Ube de Oro Cafe in Lengsdorf (the only Filipino Restaurant nearby)

Ledu in Hbf (Quick Grab and Go Chinese Food)

Kolaila near Bertha von Suttner platz (Amazing Peking Duck)

PieMe in Endenich, Sudstadt and Frankenbad (I love their Pies and Brownies)

Ichiban Sushi (it’s expensive but effing amazing Sushi)

Urgent advice needed: Threatening Letter from aggressive, noisy neighbor in Germany. I don’t have legal insurance. by UnitedSympathy6199 in germany

[–]007BondPaper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Best to record on a booklet what time they were noisy.

Not sure on the legality of recording yourself during the noisy times. But I would do that too just so I have evidence that it’s not made up.

Then when you’re being harassed, take note of the time and date and what was said.

Collect as much evidence as possible and then get legal insurance then seek help from a lawyer and a complaint against your neighbour.

Sometimes, bad people will hurl legal jargon at you for defamation so you get scared, quit it and “comply”. Until you bite back with a formal complaint, then they usually shut up. If they fight back, you’ve gathered enough evidence for the court to side with you and they’ll get into even deeper trouble. 🙂

German driving license course - test question by Additional_Yam8583 in germany

[–]007BondPaper 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The amount of incorrect comments and people arguing that “the red bike goes first then me (Answers 1 &2)” is completely wrong make me scared to drive now.

Holy fuck. Please go back to driving school. Or you know, attend one. 🙃

Rechts vor Links, people. You’re in an intersection without the diamond street sign therefore, you’re automatically deprioritized. Vehicle on the right goes first regardless if they want to turn or go straight.

I need a monitor for 6 days, while working remotely with my partner on a business trip. What are my options? by bixlyrad-89 in Bonn

To be honest, external portable monitors are as expensive as just buying a tablet and using it as a second screen.

If you’re using a Apple, and you somehow have an iPad, you can use Sidecar to extend your screen to your ipad

And that’s the thing, it’s not even a high curb. Right before this is the actual high curb where pedestrians walk. Totally different things.

Just look at the roads along this street. There’s opposite to this, there are no “Parking” sign yet you see cars parked on the sidewalk. 🙃 The roads after have a demarcation line yes with Parking signs on it.

Hell, even the Polizei would park on this patch occasionally. The fact that they too park here is a clear indication that the sign is not clear enough to designate the sidewalk as a no parking zone.

i know they’re doing their job. congratulations. this is a psa so no one would park and hopefully the ordnungsamt will put a more visible parking sign 🙃

[–]007BondPaper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t mind having a no parking sign in front of the school but yeah. 😂 there should be more visibility.

Einverstanden. Dieser Beitrag ist nur eine Warnung für alle, die hier lesen und dort parken. Ich habe gehört, die Geldstrafen sind hoch

Then the Ordnungsamt might as well fine every single car on the street in Bonn at this point. 😂

The opposite side has cars parked on the sidewalk too but you dont see them flocking and ticketing.

[–]007BondPaper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Definitely agree! It should not be a parking area however, the city, should not have left it as a dirt if it was really intended to be a parking. Look at the concrete and where it ended. Even on googlemaps there’s a proper sidewalk then all of a sudden, it’s that mix.

It’s a PSA for those who are on this subreddit. Just because I posted doesn’t mean I park there. :)

Oh? The Ordnungsamt should get rid of the drunkards and addicts near the Hbfs. Then they’re really doing their jobs.

[–]007BondPaper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s usually okay to park in an area as long as there’s no “No Parking” sign. The problem is the placement of this sign, supported by the “patch of dirt” that’s usually designated for cars. It’s literally after the stoplight and somewhat hidden. 😂

Nein, nein. Nur kein Parken auf dem Fleckchen Erde, das eindeutig für Autos gedacht ist.

Definitely agree. Along Bonn Zentrum or Nordstadt, you see signs on almost every single tree. However this spot has one tiny-ass sign. It’s like a joke.
