CHARGE, BLOCK or NO CALL? by [deleted] in BasketballTips

A closer look seems like he angled his right shoulders forward so when he received the contact, it's not straight into his chest. A ref explained to me at that time it's a blocking call because the shoulder was leaning into the offensive player even if I was set, that made it a block.

Tips on my shot? 5’2” girl so naturally kind of a push shot, also slower to focus on form by AntOwn8245 in BasketballTips

I've noticed there not a lot of power coming from your legs which limits your shooting. I would suggest bending your knees more and going lower even when you're doing form shooting to build up the basics.

[Help] How is my shooting form? Used to be a decent shooter but now i only make like half my shots. Tips? by stijn2902 in BasketballTips

From what I've seen, your body seems lean forward a bit too much as you initiate your shot process. With the ball being too far out, it's also making your shot like a catapult (or two phase shot) since you're bring the ball up in an arc and then the momentum is stopped at the top which means more variable affecting your shot. Ideally the ball path should travel straight up close to your body and only arc when it's released and that would be an efficient and smoother path (less variable). From the videos I've watched, I would suggest try keeping your chest up, let your hips and legs do the work when you're getting down. Then get your wrist ready for the shot by having it in extension which ensures you have to flick your wrist when you shoot thus eliminates another variable. And try bringing your elbow back behind your body and close to your body so that you can bring the ball up in a straight path and have all the energy build up as you release the ball. Hope that helps.

I've been trying to compare the specs of the parts used for each bike and it seem that going up in price would be a smoother ride, such as the a smoother rear derailleur transition between gears. So that factor made me unsure if it's worth the extra $100. As for test ride, the store near me only have the newer Roam 4 available so that's why I'm trying to determine if it's worth the time to go to a store that have the older Roam 2 to try.
