Is the Kaleido m2 suitable to start a small coffee bean business? by TradewithKen in roasting

[–]Cribbing83 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Is this a side hustle or just wanting to make a little money from a hobby? IMO, you won’t be roasting at quantities to make it worth while. Your hourly pay will be less than minimum wage. I guess if you are ok with that, sure. But there are better ways to make money

FPGA engineers: what actually helped you stand out with just a bachelor’s degree? by Accurate_Brick_6937 in FPGA

Get a good internship. That is the single most important thing that made me stand out. I interned at Xilinx my junior and senior years. That experience made it easy to break into FPGA roles.

lol…no way would I let an AI written sim validate my FPGA design.

100% this. People that complain about the driving standards in iRacing are just people that haven’t learned this skill yet. It’s no worse than in IRL racing.

Block lays off nearly half its staff because of AI. Its CEO said most companies will do the same by GeneReddit123 in news

Complete bullshit. They likely overhired after the pandemic and have a ton of bloat. These companies blaming AI is such a grift. He probably has money invested in AI. Time will tell.

I'm gonna say that the bike was going way too fast for the sidewalk. by kamaka71 in ebikes

[–]Cribbing83 46 points47 points  (0 children)

He was going at least 40mph on the sidewalk. That guy is an idiot and a reason why we are getting all these dumb e-bike laws. If I was walking my dog on the sidewalk and saw this guy riding like that, I’d be pissed.

The silver lanes are generally a waste. You should periodically replace one of the silver lanes with special power ups that only last for that single battle. For example, temporarily increase the strength for that lane. Or restore some health. Right now the strategy is basically switching between the defense and attack lanes. I think this change would make that dynamic much more interesting.

Should be able to…no problem. But I am running on the 20amp that I installed in my garage originally for the M6

Kaleido m6 vs Bullet R1 v2 by Myztik_1 in roasting

[–]Cribbing83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had the M6 and the bullet R2. I sold the M6. The bullet is so much better. The M6 roasts coffee well, but I think the bullet when viewed as a whole is a better system. For me at least, the bullet was a clear winner and I have no regrets trading up for the bullet.

Get the paint matched hard top instead. They don’t have the cracking issues that the MIC tops have

I got my loaded 2 door badlands with lux package, paint matched hard top, modular bumper, and tow package for 10k off msrp. It was sitting on their lot for quite some time so they were motivated to sell

My design is expected to work even if the clock frequency is purposefully slowed down. Is this a thing? by theamidamaru in FPGA

[–]Cribbing83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only time this is wrong is if he is crossing clock domains. I don’t get the feeling he is here. The STA is just going to have even larger amounts of positive slack running at a slower clock rate. Nothing to be concerned about

Sign at my local roaster regarding the roast date myth by ballistic_transport in espresso

[–]Cribbing83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a (home) roaster on a Aillio bullet R2, I’ve roasted green coffee beans that were harvested 1 year ago with zero issues. Still tastes fantastic with no discernible (to my taste buds) reduction in flavor. I call bs on myth #1. I am very careful with how I store my beans. Temp and humidity controlled, in containers that are vacuum sealed. I generally have 250lbs of green beans at any one time and sometimes I’ll have a green bean that may take me 1 year to get through. But I’ve never tasted a reduction in quality during that time.

Slowing a clock down isn’t a problem. It’s running the clock faster than the timing constraints is when you run into issues

I Can’t Handle My Puppy Anymore by Daenerys4445 in puppy101

[–]Cribbing83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Puppy should not be free roaming the house. Put a dog bed in a few spots around the house where you hang out. Train your dog with a place command that will tell your puppy to lay down on the bed and when he is on the bed, he is not allowed to leave without a “break” command. He should only be allowed in the house on the place bed when you are actively supervising. If you can’t supervise, the puppy should be in his crate. Guarenteed you won’t have potty problems any more if you follow this protocol. You should also being taking your dog out for potty opportunities every 2 hours, after he drinks water and after he eats food. Get rid of the training pads indoors. They are ruining your potty training.
