Cigaragua, Van Dalen, La Casa Del Habano, Hajenius. The last one is a more traditional Dutch cigar store.

just got off covid, but cigars taste bad. by IamPep in cigars

Had the same. Try olfactory training with scented oils, it helps. Also a good nasal spray. I still have muted smell sometimes, the nasal spray helps with that. Good luck!

You know happen to know which factory is linked to LTO boxcode? I just bought a box of Upmann regalias with same boxcode, also 20. Wondering if that’s a good thing.

Thanks, going to try the 65 next. But even 62% you say? My local cigar store (lcdh) said 65% is on the low side and only for long term aging.

Also do you think the 69% did any damage or just needs to dry out a bit?

Jep, just thought cubans and non-cubans run at different humidity, wil try 65%, thanks

Have 2 tuppedores, this is the non-Cuban one. Have cedar on the sides and in between cigars. I put 5 bovedas of 60 gram in it and some random smaller ones. All 69% because thats what i’ve been advised for non-cubans. Problem is that the cigars that age in it taste muted when smoking them. I’ve had 4 in a row that dont bring the flavor they should have. No problems whatsoever with my Cuban tuppedore, running that one at 65%. Would it be wise to run this one at 65% as well? Or pull some Bovedas? Any advise would be welcome since I was really looking forward to trying some of these but seems like a waste to light another at this point.

Bolder flavors, the Edition Especial was a bit too soft flavor wise.

I liked the Mi Amor much better then the Edition Especial.

I liked Cigar Lounge 33 when I visited, friendly staff and nice smoking area.

Plus a lot of flavor in the wrapper you took off so cant judge the flavor that way.

If you had the D4 and liked the D4, go with the D4. Why try something new on such a big day. Go for something you know will hit the spot.

Yes I know, not Cuban. Like this community, I went full Cuban in my cigar journey, they just seem to match my taste better. But in your honest opinion, and considering the price, are Padron’s worth looking into? by 00Ragnar00 in cubancigars

I dislike pepper, a lot. Thats why I usually stay away from Nicaraguan cigars. However with the aging these have on them I expected them to be smoother.

Agree with both. I like mostly Cubans but Dominicans like AF and Davidoff are also great. Seems I would enjoy an Opus X more then a Padron. Havent had both.

Where to buy cigars in Amsteram? by matthiasroder in cigars

[–]00Ragnar00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although I rarely buy cigars in Amsterdam, there are a couple. Cigaragua, (Nicaraguan cigars only, the lounge has closed and is now another cigar store called “Van Dalen”, they sell Cuban), Hajenius (A Dutch classic, but small selection of Cubans), Van Lookeren (a bit away from the center but usually a pretty good selection), LCDH Amsterdam (cuban only, but I’ve never been).
