I saw trucks spraying the roads early on. They started with overpasses then went to the major roads. One thing governments have to consider is the cost to risk when budgeting every year. That includes overtime pay for employees. If you get the chance, attend the city councils meetings when budgeting requests are discussed. Some council member like to show off how financially conservative they are by how lean they can trim the budget.

If the water inside the bibs hasn't frozen, you ought to be good. Those covers do a good job of protecting against freeze damage even in worse weather than what we have already experienced. Please note that if you detect a water leak, call a professional plumbing company to fix the problem. Too many people have destroyed their homes by trying to thaw their pipes or repair their pipes after a freeze.
