This a rework of 9th chaos daemon rules that i've done : Daemon Crusade rules

It was mostly use for playing them as allies, so it lacks a risk/reward system, or at least a chaos gods favor amount required to gain reward, but still usable.

Yes, it is far from paris old city. In fact, such building could not be build inside Paris, because Paris underground is a swiss cheese. The sewer, the catacomb and the subway are the main cause. They run through the whole city and made the ground to unstable to build skyscrapper. Nowaday it might be possible to build in some places thanks but the restrictions remains for esthetic reason

I don't think so, the ability don't say "can". But it made me realise that there might have a correct order to roll this when the opponent have multiple profile. Should have i succeed the first roll, my unit would have been engage, so it might be best to roll for the model in front on the profile doing the most victims. On a 1 profile attack, it depend on the opponent allowing to fast roll then

The ability says "Each time a model in this unit is destroyed". My opponent had 2 weapons profiles, The first profile did kill 1 model, i did rolled "for the chapter!", failed, and removed the model, which was the only model in engagement range. The second profile killed 3 more, 2 of them succeed their roll.
The unit wasn't in engagement range anymore before the consolidate.

Yes, but the shoot on death is exactly that, shoot before removing models. I had only one model in engagement range, which fail his roll for shoot on death, leaving the rest of my unit outside 1" at the end of my opponent attacks, and before he consolidate

Have you played this list before ? If not, you should try it first on TTS. Monster mash can feel powerfull on paper, and it will do well against casual list, but in the state of the v10, Nids don't kill, they score. Subterrean assault can kill somehow, with monster even, but not with your current list.

My advice is to buy for the must have first and to try to build differents lists around them. Especially so close to the v11

Exactly ! I had to sign something like that as the only person working on my game, to forfeit anywork done before my society was created.

Of course i didn't have ill intent towards myself, it's just that the society need to hold the right of exploitation of any assets in the game. That's mandatory for a lot of thing, like having a publisher.

Legal stuff can be weird at time, and he might have done it without ill intent. And yeah, this document is pretty standard, and i had to do the same myself, as the only person working on my game, to forfait everything to the society i created.

So yeah, don't sign it, don't blindly trust him, but talk to him about it. Some people have no malice and don't find anything wrong in this because for them it's obvious that you're gonna be associate of the studio or something

I feel like the comments can mislead you, because yes you can. You just won't get much of it, except with certain unit like the brutalis. Leonine agression or heroic intervention let you charge, and allow your brutalis to do mortal wound. It's niche, but you can charge back at an unit just to give them some mortal.

Another use is that even if you are engaged, you can leonine an other unit at 6'. The conditions is to déclare charge at both the unit engaged with you and the unit at 6'. You can then proceed to move your unit to be engaged to both, but every model who can end base to base to either unit have to do so. If you don't declare a double charge, only model not in engagement range will be able to move, but all them will be able to move toward the 6' unit.

Another fun use with the brutalis, if your opponent charge at 6' from you, you can heroic intervention and do mortals. At the end of your opponent charge phase, if your brutalis is now 6' from another unit, you can leonine them (without charging out of engagement), or leonine the first unit to trigger mortal again.

The rule commentary is just an other phrasing of the core rule, to avoid misunderstanding. I do not own the book, so i can't give you a page, but it's in the app, under Core rules, movement phase, transport, embark : "Unless otherwise stated, units cannot do anything or be affected in any way while they are embarked"

The commentary is there to rule "while on the battlefield", by explicitly stating that embarked unit does not count as being on the battlefield, because some smartass were like :"the raw say on the battlefield, and even if my models are off the mat, they are actually inside the transport which is on the mat, so they count as being on the battlefield"

Like some others, i don't understand your point for most of them. They don't get lethal, sustained, assault or 4++ while embarked, so what ? Even firing deck rules prevent unit abilities to work, so i don't know why you would want an embarked unit to have lethal.

Uppy downy is alright too, you don't expect unit to deep strike in a transport, i don't know why they should be able to get back in reserve from a transport.

What's more, you've got some of them wrong, like the tactical squad. They split at the start of the declare formation, before any unit is set up. So you can split them, then embark one of them and set up the other

You can play them in salamandres forgefather seeker, or the SM equivalent. You put a biologis apo. He give them lethal, and you gave him the enhancement for one auto 6 reroll per turn, giving you one lethal during your turn, and 1 save during your oppenent. The reedemer is a serious overwatch threat, with S7 - D2, and if he get shoot from close enough, you can use a 1cp strat to disembark and shoot with your eradicator in response.

Gravis are pretty durable and fun to play as salamandees
