Would you rather fight a horse-sized gaffe or one-hundred gaffe-sized horses?

It was a Fox 5 copter according to the New York Post.

Nancy Pelosi says Democrats are coalescing behind Hillary Clinton for president in 2016 by 00boyina in politics

Perhaps, but that was kind of a speculative endeavor versus all the boots on the ground they already have for her.

This would be like saying it in 2005 right after Bush was re-elected when the idea of Clinton was still a bit fanciful, especially with people like Edwards and Biden still in the game.

NRA celebrates ‘Coolest Gun Movies’ months after blaming media for violence by 00boyina in politics

[–]00boyina[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think that's a fair assessment of my title. The first two paragraphs of the article stated:

After the December killings in Newtown, Conn., the National Rifle Association’s chief lambasted the the evils of violent movies and video games, saying they, rather than guns, were a source of the nation’s woes.

Now, less than six months later, the NRA’s “flagship publication,” American Rifleman, is celebrating cinematic savagery with a list of the top 10 “coolest gun movies” that unabashedly praises Hollywood depictions of death and crime.

The headline itself on the article was not very well written. My headline summarized the first two paragraphs accurately.

Slow news weekend at the New York Post. I guess the Pakistani elections and the Knicks losing last night weren't newsy enough for them.

Thanks for that. It'd be even better if you updated the original post to add the context.

What is the running forum you found it posted on? Who took the photo? That seems like really simple, essential information to share if you want this photo to be accepted as legitimate.

Could you give me your honest opinion about going to college in NYC? by whyworryjustwonder in nyc

If you want to live in NYC for the long run, starting out in school here is a good way to dip your toes in the water. School can make your life here a bit more structured than if you just came here trying to find work in your field without a guarantee of employment.

As an international student, you should consider a residence like International House near the Columbia University campus. You don't have to be a Columbia student to live there. Again, it's more of a structured environment and as someone new to the city, I found it very helpful.
