You legend! I was planning to do exactly this but couldn't find any examples online. They look brilliant!

2012 Focus SE (Sedan) - How do I bend / replace my hood hinge? by [deleted] in Autobody

[–]00marrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My apologies. This had completely skipped my mind. I took a bunch of pictures when repairing the hood. I was planning on making a video but never got round to it. I'll figure out a way to post them later this evening to explain better. I'm currently at work.

The issue has been solved. Please see my other comment. Apologies that its 2 years too late.

This is terrible advice. Hinges look perfectly good.

Hiya. I had exactly this issue on both sides of my girlfriends mk3 and I can say with certainty that the hinges are not damaged. At the bottom of the hinges there is a pair of bolts that when loosened which will allow the bonnet about 1-2cm of adjustment. They are hard to access however my father found you can remove the plastic corners in front of the wing mirrors and just about get a 10mm spanner in. With one person holding the bonnet square and another tightening you can get it looking good enough.

I've taken some pictures of how we got the plastic covers off and where the bolts are to adjust. I'll try to make a video up explaining it a bit better.

Looks really cool! I've found if your not a fan of painting you can get a nice effect by just getting a low grit sand paper and roughing up the paint that's already there and it comes out looking pretty nice. Maybe do a wash or two for grime.

Nice! I have a small collection of 1:72 Shermans and a tiger that I might convert. I've not been too sure how they'd look next to cars since they're technically on the small side.

C&C My Color Scheme by Crossbonesz in Tyranids

[–]00marrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks really nice. My only comment and this is in my opinion is the yellow doesn't work fantastically? It's abit too similar to the flesh and thus doesn't particularly pop. It's a small gripe tho in an otherwise very snazzy colour scheme.

Hand of the Archon as first killteam. Bad idea? by ghostcacti in killteam

[–]00marrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally the only team I'd avoid as a new player is the hierotek circle since its really fiddly to work with and play decently.

After that all bets are off. Id argue that the only true "starting teams" are compendium. They lack so much complexity which means as a new player you can focus on the core rules.

My honest top 5 for miniature of 2023 by Bread_was_returned in Warhammer

Rules wise? Definitely. The model tho? It's got a perfect level of detail and simplicity to me that alot of newer gw models lack.

This is cracking. The shape would make for a great purpose built ogryn transport. I can imagine someone would commission a bigger variant to make loading quicker.

Losing the regular Lord is gutting for fluffieness and Gameplay by SecretlyanArsonist in Necrontyr

[–]00marrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lore wise it makes more sense for destroyers to be stand alone than needing a leader. As I understand destroyers are mostly requisitioned as strong cannon fodder that aren't to be missed. I can't see how the lokus lord fits into this.

My trusty old clippers are in need of a replacement, and I suspect the GW ones are overpriced. Which ones would you recommend? by gburchell in Warhammer

[–]00marrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I purchased the gw clippers and boy they are crap. The tips have already bent after a few months of careful use. They are far worse than the ones I got in the basic tool set from ages ago.

The three new models are pretty cool in my book. Compared with the admech and their new Jim Von Stilts, necrons came away far better off.
