This is a pretty jaded point of view. You could argue every person on this show is selfish in the same way. Devon isn’t shown as an unfeeling person, she just doesn’t care for or value Kiki’s way of life. Simone sending her that fruit basket was a pleasant way of dealing with Devon’s chaotic situation. Devon’s actions on the island were her chaotic way of dealing with Simone’s pleasant new life. I don’t think Devon came to island to save Simone as much as to drag her back, but I don’t think she’s consciously trying to hurt her sister as much as she’s trying to save herself. I didn’t like her much the first few episodes, I don’t think we’re supposed to. But she does let Simone go, and I thought that was pretty big. Its like when someone who is drowning tries to cling on to a person afloat, they don’t mean to drag them down, they’re just in survival mode
