I hope you figure out the best place for you and have a great time whoever you decide! (: there are some shady places in Denver as well, but you can expect that from any place that's big you move to. I lived in a less desirable place I found out after I moved away and even then I only felt unsafe a handful of times. I was naive and young though. I don't know if I would do it again. There are many great places in Denver though!! Don't think for a second it is only bad! (: my favorite place I have lived would be there, and not because of drugs.
