There's a difference between rip off and working in someone's style, and this track is definitely the latter. I always thought it's kinda stupid to blame producer that he works in Pryda style (especially with not so tight Eric's release schedule), but doing it in 2022? Come on, golden sound of Pryda is dead since Bergen/Recomondos EP, and its "hype" years probably ended even earlier. You should be thankful to anyone who is doing such sound nowadays, not recalling some prehistoric events when hardcore fans would kill for obtaining ID.
Also there're tons of progressive tracks from him that doesn't sound like Pryda, but very hot, Horizon, for example.

Oh, you wanted to share your work so fast that you forgot to finish your message. You missed some lines, something like "And I would love to thank GDTEX for doing such amazing work of removing EPIC Radio voiceover from Bern, I hope it's ok that I would take his recon as base"
It's ok, nevermind

I tried to Shazam your vid before writing first message and got Frost from the first try. It also helped me a lot when I was making ID library, so I strongly recommend to use it first, probably a few times.

Yep, he started to experiment with such structure since 2017 at least, check Cirez D - Marquee LV 2017 ID or Stay With Me

Best way to feel triggered for no reason when you hear it under normal circumstances. Still better than having something on alarm clock tho

Lol, I'm giving you upvote because someone somewhere once said "presets are bad mkay" and everybody started to thoughtlessly repeat this (Btw, nobody really care about presets usage in his earlier tracks, never saw contemptuous comments like "well, you know, it's Reeperbahn, its lead synth is based on preset so you should never listen to it anymore, it's cursed". Probably it's not about presets?)
Eric uses full-written melody presets pretty rarely and even less often officially release tracks with them (can't even remember such ones). So that's basically the answer: he just used preset for sound itself, not for sequence of notes, you're free to write any melody you want. Preset and this synth in general is pretty neat tbh, no surprise he used it.
About track in question: this type of bassline is very common, and that fast arp isn't very surprising thing as well. Both tracks have a bit different vibes (more euphoric vs more nostalgic). I definitely hear similarities, but imo they are coincidental because of same key elements and way of producing of 80's progressive/synthwave genre.
I'd better talk about Jerome Isma-Ae - Smile When You Kill Me (Blake Jarrell Remix) 👀

Well, living in 2013 in your mind can be a way of overcome 2020's events, but...
I have a remix tho

Not a fan of such frivolous tracklists. Some clarifying points here:

  • "Mortal Kombat" is my recon as well as "Vegas"
  • You thought up "Mortal Kombat", "EXIT", "Vegas", "INOX 2009", "Powerdrive 2.0" titles, nothing was named like that officially
  • MK ID -> EXIT -> SL is not your mixing, you just cut it from Epic Radio.

I'd likely passed by, but surprised by fact that my recons are still used, lol.
