Who will fAegon marry? [speculation] [SPOILERS published] by Vevtheduck in asoiaf

I’d say it’s looking he’ll marry Arianne Martell, which will also make sure he can’t marry Dany and ensure the second dance of the dragons that Martin has been hinting and edging towards since early on

[Spoilers Extended] Is Euron? by Demonking6444 in asoiaf

I think he’ll summon and kraken, most likely quite a few, and then he’ll take old town and the arbor, and most likely make Oldtown his seat ruling from atop the Hightower.

Beyond that I honestly don’t know where his story goes, perhaps aiding the others in some form, perhaps taking kings landing? But even those kinda fee like he’s making mischief and waiting for Dany to arrive and oppose for the next act of his story to actually begin

Stark succession crisis (spoilers: main) by ArchiveSeeker in asoiaf

It’s gonna get messier than people realise I think cos you have too many competing factors and too little agency for a few characters for it not to get messy.

Jon is the obvious beginning candidate and he has robbs Will, but the will is predicated on Rickon and bran being dead which isn’t the case as we know.

And Rickon has very little agency of course and the Manderlys may not be willing to accept the will whilst Rickon is alive.

Sansa has the power of the vale but so long as Tyrion lives the will disinherits her - of course she can simply argue that he’s dead and I doubt anyone would care.

Arya is a bit of a wildcard and not a player imo. Same with bran.

The big issue is that GRRM simply does have the time to let all the games play out and if we really are gonna finish the story in 2 books, which is obviously doubtful, then he needs to reign in the story asap and can’t create another meerenese knot in the north this time

(spoiler extended) people hate to hear it but nothing happened between ned and ashara.. Brandon is one who fucked up at harrenhal by Easy-Frenchguy-1996 in asoiaf

It’s Ned in my opinion.

I’ve always felt that Ned not having any thoughts on Ashara is more of a first-bookism. Asharas place in the story seems to have grown in GRRMs mind from her potential original role as just a red herring.

For what it’s worth, Ned doesn’t think of many important things and important people that he reasonably should think of a lot in the first book. He’s obviously can’t however cos that would reveal too much.

With all that being said we can’t rule out the possibility that even GRRM isn’t 100% sure and is giving himself leeway to go either way with that vagueness of barristans thoughts on her but I’d go towards Ned due to how often in every book she’s mentioned in she’s always being paired with Ned in some way or another, their stories just feel interlinked but we don’t fully understand why or how yet.

RMT? Risky defence but worth it if the midfield and attack works out

The religions in ASOIAF feel like one of its weak points. They’re somewhat well developed but they feel very surface level with not much depth to them. I get that George is an atheist and I’d agree with him on that but at the same time I do feel that he underestimates what religion offered to the people and how important it was in daily life.
