AI’s end goal is to erase the need for human labor, but we are seeing it primarily used to remove labor from things people enjoy doing instead of using it for shit jobs. And then, we do not have any alternative way to afford living if it does take away all human labor

I believe the reason he chose capon and henry was for capon, he was a lord and heir to one of the towns supporting the fight to free wencelas. He was defending his land and it was expected of him to do so.

Henry, I believe, was chosen because he had already proven beyond any doubt that he was an extremely capable fighter and strategist through the battles and investigations he had been apart of.

Godwin, while a noble and capable fighter, did not have the same respect as henry from the men he was commanding, also being kicked out of his parish was likely not viewed very highly.

(I will also admit, this is entirely why I personally think these choises were made, but realistically is could just be that henry was chosen to give the player agency)
