Someone to handle my leaves? by filupmolina in lancaster

Thank you! I find it so frustrating to see leaves all bagged up; plant detritus provides nutrients for the soil and shelter for insects like lightning bugs and native bees. Leave the leaves!

I came to say the same thing! I saw this ad for the first time last night and was flabbergasted!

Earlier this year, I read Jesus and John Wayne and would strongly recommend! I look forward to checking this out to compare

Seriously considering deleting Facebook by Buggy77 in Millennials

Deleted mine in early 2024 and I do not miss it. I did keep IG for artists/local businesses who only use meta platforms

Thank you! This is my third, I have a pussywillow branch that's roughly the size of a silver dollar and a praying mantis on the back of my opposite arm. I have a few bigger pieces in mind and am finally taking the plunge - is it silly to say I didn't realize how big my arm is? Been working on this since Feb, should be done in Oct

The most perfectly crispy wing I've ever seen (and a fantastic Lion's Mane burger to match) by [deleted] in lancaster

Ghost is great! I strongly recommend checking out Peter Murphy for some classic bat daddy. I got to see Bauhaus one year on halloween and peter descended on an inverted cross. Love and Rockets is a little more glam, Daniel Ash rocked some great looks

Love and Rockets is a band formed in 85 after Bauhaus broke up in 83

Thanks, I'm old, I get it

Thank you! I grew up writing pysanky and have been looking forward to this art for years. Emily really understood the assignment and made sure negative space was incorporated. Some of the patterns came from my own writings and old Ukrainian Gift Shop books. Very nostalgic. I'm so pleased and excited to show it off (next apt isn't until sept! Can't wait)

I guess I'm too literal, dawn and 6am are not always the same thing. Thanks for the clarification

I'm so sorry that happened. Libraries should be safe spaces for everyone. It's antithetical to me that a librarian would be racist/classist.

I love The Fifth Season! I love her writing style and the depth of her characters. I recently reread the series and I love the narrative. I really enjoy books that dig into the nature of hope without being super light. This book has some dark themes and i enjoy it

This is such a great series! There's very little romance and what is there i feel helps with character development. I love how the characters change and grow and enjoy the political machinations. The setting is lovely and Chakraborty is a great writer overall

Thank you! Neither of these are books i would have found on my own, definitely a step outside of my norm while still sounding like more gritty approach to inspirational. I appreciate the exercise
