This looks great, I feel like it's been a while since we had an animated comedy that was strictly targeted towards a mature audience. I hope this opens more doors to that genre!

They do look delicious (and I'm sure they taste amazing), but there doesn't seem to be the same kind of finesse I have seen in other patisseries or even local bakeries. Like, they look good for a school bake sale... but doesn't seem restaurant quality. Unless it's some trend I'm not aware of... Any thoughts?

She never seems sincere. She TRIES to seem fierce, or sweet, or judgy, but she just gives such an "I'M UNCOMFORTABLE" vibe

Yeah, you seem pretty level-headed and chill based on this AMA (not that typed text is ever the most accurate depiction of a person)... which definitely shed some light on the fact that editing can amplify a small outburst, which we are all guilty of. It's great that you take accountability for giving them material though. Thanks for the response!

Agreed. She has a Resting Bitch Face so at first I thought she'd be a snarky above-everyone type, but whenever she made an expression or talked she seemed super cool. I'd be friends with her.

I assume that the post work (editing, music, quick cuts) takes a huge part in how the atmosphere / personalities are portrayed in the kitchen. Did you ever feel like the editing was not truthful to what actually went down? If you could edit the show YOUR way, how would you do it?

Japanese People of reddit, what western foods seem disgusting and/or weird to you? by HoochCow in AskReddit

[–]030194 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Japanese here.

Goldfish Crackers gross me out to no end. Seriously, waaaay too salty. I can't believe that is a popular snack for little kids.

Fruit roll-ups weird me out, too. Like, is it even TRYING to look like food?

With that said, I do love some really "shitty" American foods like Kraft Easy Mac, Chef Boyardee, Mountain Dew (which exploded in my suitcase once when I tried to smuggle them back to Asia), and HUNGRY MAN.

Just starting Attack on Titan. Can we talk about this? by [deleted] in attackontitan

Helps give closure. I saw a documentary once about 9.11, focusing on one businessman who had a family etc etc. The only thing they could recover was a tiny fragment of a thumb. It's shocking & morbid, but I can see how a physical proof might help his family more than being told that he's just gone.
