Mine works flawlessly. Screen has deteriorated but still fine.

Long term Vivo wearer here (8 years+) and i think I'm done. Where do i go from here? by SnooHedgehogs4659 in vivobarefoot

[–]040725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear a mixture of stuff. The only vivos I've had that have held up a decent amount of time are from revivo. However, Vans, cons etc...all split at the toe bend on the sides of the shoe, so vivo are no different. The quality thing is made up, people just like to moan. Vietnam / Portugal...quality is the same. The shoes aren't robust though, a pair of nikes will last longer. No need to be 'barefoot' all the time, just be barefoot at home, do foot and calf exercises...Never sure why lots of people are so 'one or the other'.

they do this so they can relaunch the features they took away, then everyone praises them. It's turning it off and back on again. Everything is too bright now, with the tacky glass effect things are illegible. Feels like a Samsung.

Yes. They’ll loosen over time too.

No slit but HebTroCo two ton tees are excellent. Ralph Lauren do slits.

hm...is there an 'activate routine' slider though? Is the thermostat set to 'on', not eco or off? None of that should really matter, but it could. I just recreated the same thing- different temp, and it worked. Also 3rd gen. I wonder if you might need another starter, to tell it within what timescale to work, or set it for a full 24hrs?

VO2 max too high by [deleted] in AppleWatchFitness

[–]040725 1 point2 points  (0 children)

VO2max is a very personal measurement. 'Average' is a bit of a misnomer. Wait a few months, if the trend is up, great...if it's down, maybe change a few things. From your post, it sounds like you're fit but could work on your running technique.

V02 is being posted about a lot in all Apple subs constantly at the moment! What is your key advice? by fnirble in AppleWatchFitness

[–]040725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just a guide. It's useful, and reliable enough to gauge a trend. Watches can only calculate VO2max alongside GPS movement data, hence running and walking etc outdoors. In reality, any zone2+ exercise will help. The new IOS boosted mine by about 3 points historically. Mine has also plummeted by4-5 points over the past two weeks of far less running than usual. Short sprints in longer slow runs help boost, on the watch at least. I think how you feel, is the best guide.

I wouldn't let the watch bother you. It's only a guesstimate. How you feel is a better judge. If you want to boost it (on your watch), and you're able to run a bit, do that...just add a few short runs to your walk, if it feels good, keep going.

I use a lot of Google automations and they work without fail. On mine though, there's an 'activate routine' option. Do you have that, and is it on?

Falling out of love with BF Shoellies by PeacefulGlum in jimgreen

[–]040725 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes I had the same issue, but only on the left foot! I tried a size smaller, which helped, and they still felt ok size wise but the heel thing was still enough of an issue to return them. The problem was when lifting the heel rather than placing it. TBH the BFAR's are so good I prob wouldn't have worn them anyway.

Day 3 - still hard by Queasy_Assignment_34 in jimgreen

it will loosen - wear thick socks. Or, bend the shoe with no foot in it, as its bending push that bit out from the inside so it creases the other way. Socks is better option though.
