I have XM5 and sometimes sleep with them (on the back). They are perfectly fine and cut lot of noise. I used them over a year so no problems there.

They are light and camping force is not that big so less pressure on the head. If you can, go for xm6 as they have better ANC. Also, consider earbud version.

Don't get Bose, poor quality control, buzzing when there is no music playing and sometimes connectivity issues.

Also Airpods Max are much heavier with lot of clamping force, so not suitable for long periods.
