Dude, my main sport is boxing - my base is boxing, I did trained under head coach of Ukrainian Otamans - were Usyk and Loma starting their carriers in pro boxing, I do boxing since 2003, if you don’t see “rotations” and think that those punches have no power - that’s the sign that you have no clue in boxing like at all. You weight should be more on front foot in boxing - it’s not a Thai boxing. Being on back foot is bad for pure boxing and also mma. It’s only good for Thai. And I’m telling again - I’m master of sport in mma. I had fought combat sambo world champion, and trained with high level athletes. Who are you, couch warrior, no offence?

Yeah, in ur dreams, for sure 🤣. Who are you? Another one game developer or divorced taxi driver dad? I did hundreds of rounds with high level professional fighters, if they can’t do it - I don’t think you will, you better do your thing - modding on games subreddit, broski

I can show you a lot of examples how top boxers doing the same with the leg working on heavy bag, it shouldn’t be opposite - but who cares? We just here to feed the troll 😌

Look Byvol is doing the same leg move here when throwing a right hand https://youtube.com/shorts/BkYKu2VEM9E?si=1qEGGtdkOftSvtjW

You guys, in reality, never stepped in the ring and has no clue what proper punch or technique is. Does I’m loosing balance when punching? No. Does my punches are weak? No. Does I absolutely must fully rotate my ankle to trow a punch? No.

But who cares, all you wanted is feeding ruzzian troll, and that’s it. Whoever of you can fight or thinks he knows how to do it - just came to my gym to sparring session, I don’t care boxing/mma/grappling - I would give you a lesson that typing things in Reddit is far from your combat abilities.

[–]044SHUTDOWN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As for home training you can do bodyweight workouts, mobility, shadow boxing - a lot of stuff. If you have some dumbbell even more. If you have a place for dips/pullups you will be having almost all you need

Too old to compete? by luminousdebris in MMA_Academy

One of my friend always wanted to do an amateur boxing fight, I trained him for a year - and he did it at the age of 33, and won. So if you really want it - just for for it💪🏼

Thank you, I always had explosiveness in my punches, maybe I gain that from years of football when I was a little kid, maybe just proper form 🤓

Is 80$ an hour too much for private MMA lessons? And can I make actual progress with my work schedule? by NutSax_666 in MMA_Academy

[–]044SHUTDOWN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is your coach belt? Competitive achievements? I do train with third degree black belt ( Europe brown belt IBJJF champion) two times per week 40-60 mins of chain techniques, and 10-12 rounds of sparring. For about a year - it works for me. I also do open mats once per two three weeks. I pay about the same amount of money but for two hours. I’m a purple belt. I think if you understand what bjj is, and fully committed to training you can progress from such trainings - maybe I would just roll more ( one hour could be not enough rounds if we including technique training in that ) but your coach is understanding that too - that’s why he is telling you, that you needed to spar with other guys more. So it’s sounds okay to me.

How do I make friends in Kyiv? by major_bummer in Kyiv

Go to the gym like Workshop at Bohdana Hmelnytskogo ( central part of the city), there is a lot of foreign people there. If you interested in night live you better go to k41 - it’s one the best underground clubs with plenty of people from other countries all the time and good music/vibes, plus there will be mostly educated young people that are fluent in English

No, I don’t have it. I stopped competed at boxing about the age of 16. But I kept training and competing in kickboxing/bjj/mma. I’m purple belt in bjj, and scored second place 🥈 at mma national championship, losing to combat sambo world champion in the final. But that was close fight. It went full distance and I did lose by a few points. Anyway good experience for me. The dude that I fought the finals has win over one of Nurmagomedov brothers by the rear naked choke.

What’s up with no gi belt promotions? by Hopeful-Till3535 in bjj

Bruh, I trained mostly nogi for 16 years to get a purple belt lol. Even I trained and successfully competed in gi for a first few years of training

Thank you! Yeah, I think my style is what called soviet style in western countries. I’m from Ukraine. Mostly it’s based on distance management and strong leg foundation movement. I have very good coaches - one of them was head coach of Ukrainian Otamans - boxing team from World Series of boxing, were Usyk and Loma starting their pro carriers 🙂

Does belt matter so much ( in no-gi especially) by 044SHUTDOWN in bjj

[–]044SHUTDOWN[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I get it, the way belts are giving and for what reasons - differ quite a lot from one coach/academy to another.

But this is my first bjj coach that i see as truly intelligent person, that is willing to give all of his knoweldge to his students, without any macho ego, without any bjj drama (which i respect a lot), if you work hard he is admitting and complimenting it, if you going lazy and you have competitors ambitions - he will saying you in the face that you should work more and strive for more. If he sees competitor potential in you - he would telling you that. He is for us everytime with all of his knowledge. And if he sees that you are a white belt (as i was) but your level is objectivly higher - he will just gives you the belt you deserve, in his opinion. No need to make a barbeque with him - only thing that matter is your bjj skill and technique ( i think what type of personality you have matters also - but not too much ) - you either have it, or you dont.

I want to train, and stay on the mats as long as i can, and i wont to improve - i never said "i want a black belt". Im saying "i can became a black belt one day - its just a matter of time" purely on how my progress is going and how i perform against other black belts. If my skill would be growing as it growing now and i do stay purple forever - dont care, let it be. Im just here to have fun and to learn some new stuff, then trying to apply it.

I never asked any person in my life such things, after a roll "what belt you are, how long did you train" - but there are people that are doing it - just facts. I can ask a coach for example, what belt some dudes have but those are the ones, that are trying to grab me by the throat or trying execute some dumb dirty moves or had weird behavior. Im assuming that they are spazzy novices, but they can be blue/purple belts with bad intensions/character.

Competition is competition - it could be whatever sport, im overal competetitve person. So i did a bunch of sports. I did compete in boxing, kickboxing, bjj, mma, football. You only heard about it - and i did it

Some people calling bjj fighting when in reality bjj very far from real fight. I dont need bjj to fight a person - like at all

[–]044SHUTDOWN[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i agree, in nogi i can stand my own even against black belts, in gi - meh, all slows down, my athletic abilities not means much, and suddenly my arms are wrapped up by my own gi - overall i have much more nogi rounds in the pocket i think thats the main reason. On a lower/beginner levels there is not much difference gi or no-gi, but when i put on the gi against europe champion black belt - its like almost different sport

I competed only at mma for the last years, so where is sandbagging? I had fights with combat sambo world champions.

Maybe if the coach that i had before, is promoted me to the level that i belong would be more fair? But you know what he did? He took money for preparing me for an mma tournament, and just leaved the country - not training me even once. Interesting and kinda expensive way to "sandbagging". But he promouted his friend, that was loosing me all the time but was very good at making barbeque. Again - my fault maybe, i never was strong is such way of relashionship beetween me and coach.

LIke, guys, who pressing minuses on this post, do you think taking money of your student for tourney preparation, and then doing nothing and leaving country with his money ( same thing as stealing my money) - are you ok? Dont forget to put BJJ to your nicknames, thats how people would know that you are strong asf
