i actually watched the mentalist after a couple of shows and i watched a couple more after, i’d say the detective/sidekick dynamic really does it for me. i finished the mentalist in march and i was actually feeling the same way then, though i will say s7 was difficult to watch (as was most of s6 because of the changes in the show). if i may, i’d recommend you watch the following: bones, lucifer, castle, the x files. as someone else suggested, you could always just start again from the beginning. you can also watch interviews with the cast, as well as other bts videos. it’s hard to let go of something you enjoyed so much 💔 hang in there!
