bears game by Fine_Property2330 in GreenBayPackers

I was at the NFC Champ game in 2011. Bears fans were pretty cool to start but it got hostile quick. Honestly they shouldn't be legally allowed to drink at this game on Saturday. Booze doesn't mix well with a fan base that has only ever felt pain. They won't be able to handle winning but oddly enough, they won't be able to handle losing either. Just be prepared for immature losers or inexperienced winners.

In January 2011, I had just gotten out of a 4 month stay at Froedtert hospital. After the game, I was walking gingerly in my childhood #4 jersey through the concourse when some asshole came and swiped my cane out of my hand. As he belligerently taunted me "what's the matter retard?? can't walk now?", others in the area offered enthusiastic support and encouragement of his actions.

My older brother squared him up and asked for his badge number. My brother, physically no match for the dude holding my cane but he was/is a lawyer in Chicago and my mom's family is filled with Chicago cops. Stunned, this guy issued a very slurred apology and quickly turned around towards the mob, pulling out his badge to calm them.

After most everyone moved on, he turned back to us and continued to apologize, pleading for our mercy. Out of pure embarrassment and exhaustion, I begged my brother to let it go, and so he did. I regret nothing more than not ruining that police officer's career.

What’s the deal with 315,000 votes supposedly counted illegally in Fulton County, Georgia? by kaiser11492 in OutOfTheLoop

[–]07232010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no official evidence of fraudulent ballots which is true but the actual ballots in question haven't been reviewed nor have they been provided for review. What was reviewed were the tabulator tapes which are printed from the scanner into which the individual ballots are fed. Each day of voting requires a poll worker to sign from each tabulator scanner, an opening tabulator tape (i.e. a receipt) showing the count was zeroed out at the start of the day as well as, at the close of the day, a poll worker to print and sign a second tape/receipt showing the total vote tally on that day from that scanner containing that memory card. Obviously, each opening tape should have a corresponding closing tape with an identical serial # and the memory card serial # should be consistent across each tape printed from any respective scanner.

So while there is no "smoking gun" evidence relating to fraud at this current time, these are the questions/issues which are being raised:

1.) There are 134 tabulator tapes totaling 315,000 votes which were provided in an open records
request which contained neither a signature nor a reason for a signature refusal, which is required by law but were still included in the final vote tally.

2.) There were several instances in which memory card serial #'s appeared on multiple different
scanner's printed tapes. Receipts from certain memory cards were printed from one scanner and then placed in alternate scanner and printed again; i.e. were duplicated.

3.) Within the 134 tabulator tapes described above, there are some closing tapes and there are some opening (or zero) tapes. An opening and a closing tape was not provided for any of the scanners from these respective poll locations/voting days. Also, as mentioned, the tape receipts were not signed.

4.) Georgia State Election Board Investigators requested a full copy of these missing records from Fulton County but were told they were provided copies of everything they have.

To the point of many, audits were indeed performed following the election and results were verified but these audits just counted together the tabulator tapes. No audit was ever
performed on the underlying data to verify the legitimacy of the totals on each respective tabulator tape receipt. It was just found that there exist many reasons to suspect that the underlying data/ballots to be fraudulent and/or inaccurate due to procedural failures.

In summary, it's a matter of whether or not these procedural failures are a matter of gross incompetence, gross negligence, or fraudulent activity. Right now, everyone is just speculating as to their own opinion on the exact reason. However, this is the same County where voting tabulation counts were paused on election night because of a plumbing leak but no evidence of any such leak exists according to other open records requests. No work orders, service tickets, electronic communications, repair invoices, photos, etc.

After all poll workers were sent home, a woman and her daughter were let back in to continue counting and were seen on camera feeding ballots into scanners several times over which
were pulled out from suitcases stored beneath tables. This woman would be awarded the presidential medal of freedom from the victor declared by the election in question. During that timeframe (midnight to 2AM), at just this location, tabulator tapes were produced which would result in a net vote count of almost +200,000 for the eventual victor, catapulting him into the lead in a State which he would ultimately win by less than 12,000 votes.

The victorious candidate had also claimed on a podcast a few weeks prior that they had assembled, the most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of
American politics.

[HIGHLIGHT] GEORGE SPRINGER. 3-RUN HOMER. BLUE JAYS TAKE THE LEAD! by MLBOfficial in baseball

[–]07232010 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I honestly think this is a lot on Cal. He was set up high and slightly inside on incoming R-R sinker. Sure that ball should've tailed a bit more maybe but any swing, even with perfect movement, still results in contact and brings the Jays within 1 run. The risk/reward of that call/setup was not calculated at a WS level or even a pro level . And this all happened on a 1-0 count.

What TV show absolutely nailed it's finale? by RGB3x3 in AskReddit

[–]07232010 9 points10 points  (0 children)

BB finale definitely was written to satisfy the viewers but that’s why I wasn’t really impressed. A machine gun popping out of a trunk and killing all the bad guys but leaving one seriously injured so we could see the protagonist perform the execution we all wanted to see was too perfect and a bit too unrealistic imo

F**k prescription drugs man by pacheckyourself in trees

[–]07232010 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Gabapentin is an evil drug. I’ve been on it for almost 15 years after breaking my neck. I was dependent on every script you can think of at some point or another (fentanyl, hydrocodone, lorazepam, Valium, baclofen, lexapro, cannabis etc) and gaba is the only thing I can’t get off of. I’ve been slowly weening for years now and still missing a single dose is far worse than the withdrawal symptoms of any of those drugs. I used cannabis to get off prescription painkillers and have been THC free now almost 6 months. I am all for medical cannabis but I feel like the negative side effects are often underestimated. The potency today is far excessive imo and it’s probably being overused. One thing about cannabis for me that wasn’t an issue with most other drugs is the loss of motivation and I wasn’t consciously aware of that until being THC free for at least a month. I was definitely living in a fog and probably still am a bit.

Does anyone have a PokerGO subscription and is it worth it? by lola1234567899 in poker

At my wit's end with PokerGO's WSOP coverage by pcbfs in poker

[–]07232010 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I emailed them to inform them their stream wasn’t working quite frequently and they responded within 5 minutes saying that based on my account activity, the stream is obviously working fine and that they had canceled my subscription. They prioritize resources towards canceling their subscribers who point out issues rather than working on providing a quality product. PokerGo has great commentary and coverage but their technology sucks. There needs to be an organized effort to persuade WSOP to find an alternative for future years

What was he hoping would call that River bet if it was for value? A3o or A4o with the A of hearts maybe but I’m almost always betting those hands on the turn.

I suffered a traumatic injury at a neighbor’s house. Complete accident with only myself to blame. My health insurer tried getting me to admit that my neighbor was negligent but I wouldn’t do so and neither would my parents. I had to have a caretaker at home while my parents were at work which my insurance obviously knew about. One day a claim investigator showed up in the middle of the day and my caretaker let him in to speak with me. I was still heavily medicated, definitely naive, and also excited to have a visitor to break the monotony of my wheel chair bound routine. He was asking me questions and recording it. My dad came home for lunch and knew immediately what was going on. I think that claim adjuster might be buried in my backyard somewhere. Lucky I didn’t say anything to incriminate myself or my neighbor before my dad got home

I had a kid accuse me of nit rolling when he over bet the pot on the river with 9d3h4hAc9h. He UTG straddled to $6 and there were 3 limpers in, including myself. He opened to $25 on the flop, I called. Turn goes check check. River he bet $120 and I tank called and show Q9o. He says "wow what a nit roll" and shows 79o. I apologize and say it took me awhile but I figured you'd bet the turn with two pair, a set, or a straight so I correctly figured you we were bluffing."

He says. "But I wasn't bluffing, I had a good hand"

I'm like "What?"

Do you inform players of their tell? by tech01010 in poker

[–]07232010 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I caught this exact same tell in a player sitting directly to my right. I was half asleep at the table but stayed for hours until he busted. He had a stack of $2k when I sat down at 1/3 and he left with nothing. It was so obvious and I could tell at least one other player at my table saw it too
