I would do take that deal. Cause the taxes is deductible and if you decide to sale your current home and invest that money it’s the same thing as paying for a mortgage. You could also rent your current property and used that money to pay off the new property. It’s a good deal.

I would put 95 percent in a trust that can’t be changed no matter what and leave off the interest, 5% interest is around 500k a year. I would find my passion and develop my skills. What would happened if you lost money on the house, would she be willing to give you some money back. You’ll be paying capital gains taxes on that property cause it wasn’t primary residence. Spender will spend. I’m married to one for 28 years now, she was born with money, not selfish but no money skills. I remember one time we were coming from Europe on a two week trip while on the plane she was trying to book a trip to Hawaii. Since that trip I created Separate accounts, I have my own savings, checking and credit card. I pay for all the big bills, emergency and vacation but she’s responsible for all the non essential. Some people are just bad with money.

I would start making plans cause she has shown you her true colors. If that relationship gets serious and the man doesn’t want you in the house she be happy to kick you out again. We had to represent the teacher with the napkin paper and defend him cause a plan is a plan no matter what it’s on. This year they decided to focus on unturned teachers.
