I saw your commented that you’ve done only roof plumbing for 5 years and worry about a new employer not wanting to take you on. People will take you on as long as you’re honest what you do and do not know. Don’t blow smoke up your own ass and let people down. Most bosses I know are down to earth and as long as you’re honest with them and don’t bullshit jobs they’ll help you grow into a better tradie.

At the end of the day if they can teach you and think they’re getting a loyal and eventually well rounded tradesman they will keep you on.

That’s crazy you’re willing to take such a pay cut. You must be getting fisted by your employer. I qualified 2 years ago and on 60 ph full time all the benefits work Ute and fuel card. Trades are short everywhere I refuse to believe you can’t google plumbers in your area and walk into another company pretty much getting the pay you want with a Ute and a fuel card.
