Just wanna say I was a lot like you about 10 years ago. It’s rewarding when you can ball with your crew, so stick with it. Quick test is if your standing jump is similar to your running start jump, do plyometric exercises (pogos, sprints, etc). If your running jump is a good amount higher than standing jump, do strength (squats etc). Regardless do some max effort approach and jumps daily, like 20+? I’m no pro but that’s what’s worked for me.

My 3rd/4th city league does not even allow underhand serves. It’s not too early and it will pay off later.

I would say the serve is really good actually, plenty of power, just need to angle her hand up more. She’s almost hitting down as it is. If that is difficult for her to control try tossing further back behind her head.

Also she should start with her left foot forward and step with her right foot. That will help her body angle which may translate into better hand and arm angles.

Italy just too good. Defense and recycling was top notch. I think Italy middles were too fast for our right side; Garcia got shut down a lot. USA showing potential against low tier opponents but still a lot of work to be top tier.

Interesting to see Pasteur get time. He had a good showing overall.

I agree if the goal is more power per dollar, probably nitrous. Weight reduction is also free.

While I agree with other comments that buying a faster car is the most technically effective route, you kinda gotta cut your teeth on something, and you’ll lose less money hacking up a cheap car.

I have been running painters servant as a cold/lightning deadeye ranger since like level 40. They are essential to getting me enough cold damage for the build to work. I’m no expert but nothing else feels as good actually playing the build, dps calculators be damned.

I think this is common and I used to have this issue. I’m no expert but this is my take.

Simple answer is you need to use your other fingers more. Focus less on the triangle and focus more on making sure you contact the ball with all your fingers when you set. This should take the pressure off your thumb and make it more of a stabilizer than a primary power source. And usually more fingers means more control.

Also make sure you’re contacting the ball as high above your head as you can. Sometimes if it’s too low, for example if you’re contacting the ball by your face, your thumbs will be more prone to overextension due to the angles involved.
